Earlier this month, on the 10th & 11th of October, we held our second European Masterclass for Nutrition in Oncology, bringing together participants from 10 countries. With 1 in 3 cancer patients facing malnutrition, early nutritional intervention is more important than ever to improve patient outcomes. Over two days in Prague, we engaged with European oncology and clinical nutrition experts to explore prehabilitation and rehabilitation strategies that address these critical challenges in cancer care. What a day ! We had the immense pleasure of welcoming representatives from the EU Commission DG Hera and DG Grow, as well as Medicines for Europe, to one of our medicine production facilities in Italy 🇮🇹, in Isola della Scala (VR). Fresenius Kabi employs more than 1,200 people in Italy and operates six production sites in the country alone. Many thanks to Marco Pianta and Vittorio Nanni for hosting us. During the visit, we learned about our 24/7 efficient production operations, which run in three shifts, and the stringent, ever-increasing regulations that our team continuously innovates to integrate. For over 15 years, our facilities have been extremely energy efficient, a testament to our commitment to sustainable practices.
