  • Have you ever wondered how the right treatment can transform your quality of life? Frank's journey began with Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) and later transitioned to Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD). When medical challenges led him to center-based Hemodialysis, he eventually found Home Hemodialysis (HHD). This choice brought him more freedom, allowing him to spend more time with his family and enjoy his hobbies. Discover how Frank and other patients have made life-changing adjustments to their treatments in our inspiring video series – Making a Decision – and see how Home Dialysis can potentially open doors to a richer, more fulfilling life: https://lnkd.in/ee47qQ23 Not all patients may experience these benefits the therapy option described in the video might not be available in all countries #MakingADecision #PatientCenteredCare #ForOurPatients

I want to thank the Carolinas chapter of the National Kidney Foundation for honoring me with the 2025 NKF Clinical Excellence award at “A Night Under the Stars” dinner celebrating World Kidney Day on March 13.  Several of you have already sent along personal and thoughtful well-wishes and support, for which I’m very grateful and uncharacteristically verklempt.  I was especially moved by the presence of patients, family members, caregivers, and living donors who were able to be a part of this special evening.  I was glad to have had the opportunity to share the presentation of this award with a wonderful group of dedicated nurses, advanced practice providers, social workers, renal dieticians, operators, and physicians who share my passion for delivering patient-centered care for patients across the continuum of kidney disease.   Finally, a big “thank you” to my colleagues at Fresenius Medical Care for their unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in kidney care. I'm proud of these folks and of the good work they do, every day. #ClinicalExcellence #ForOurPatients #ProudToBeFME

Yesterday marked an important day for Fresenius Medical Care. We held our first Global Town Hall of 2025 live from our headquarters here in Bad Homburg, Germany, and proudly commemorated World Kidney Day, a cause central to everything we do.   During the Town Hall, I was honored to share the stage with a dialysis patient benefiting from HighVolumeHDF (HVHDF) therapy – a groundbreaking treatment expected to come to the U.S. by the end of the year. This milestone is poised to change the U.S. dialysis landscape and set a new standard of patient care.   In support of this year’s World Kidney Day, together with Fresenius Group we set up kidney-screenings around our offices and clinics for employees, supporting this year’s World Kidney Day theme: "Are your kidneys OK? Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health." It served as a powerful reminder of the life-saving importance of early detection and intervention. I encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on their kidney health. The simple question can spark awareness and action that may make all the difference.   Whether you attended the Global Town Hall or participated in World Kidney Day in your own way, yesterday truly underscored our shared mission: Creating a future worth living. For Patients. Worldwide. Every day.   #WorldKidneyDay #AreYourKidneysOkay #KidneyHealth #ForOurPatients #ProudToBeFME

  • Today we celebrate World Kidney Day! As a leader in kidney health, we at Fresenius Medical Care reinforce our commitment and social responsibility to raising awareness and educating on chronic kidney disease (CKD), a progressive loss of the kidney’s ability to filter blood, affecting how the body eliminates toxins. It is projected that CKD will rise to be the 5th leading cause of death by 2040. Prevention begins with you: Ask your kidneys if they’re OK. More than 1 in 10 people are affected by some stage of CKD worldwide and 9 in 10 adults do not realize they have CKD in its early stages (asymptomatic). Talk to a clinician about your kidney health and find out which screening options are right for you. Early detection saves lives so don’t wait! Stay proactive, get checked, and give your kidneys the care they deserve 💙 Visit: https://lnkd.in/excDvxDn #WorldKidneyDay #NationalKidneyMonth #AreYourKidneysOkay #ForOurPatients #KidneyHealth #ProudToBeFME

  • Happy International Women’s Day! This day is an opportunity to celebrate achievements, encourage mutual support to overcome boundaries together, and work toward a fair future for all. Today, we recognize three extraordinary women who changed the face of healthcare and proved that empowered women truly power the world! 💪🌍 Else Kröner (1925-1988) – A visionary entrepreneur who helped build Fresenius Medical Care into a global leader in healthcare. The Else Kröner-Fresenius-Foundation supports medical research and humanitarian projects, empowering lives around the world. Mary Eliza Mahoney (1845-1926) – The first African American licensed nurse in the U.S., who broke racial barriers in healthcare and inspired future generations. Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) – The founder of modern nursing, who transformed patient care with compassion, courage, and science. These women remind us: When we foster an environment where everyone belongs, where every voice is heard and valued, and where everyone has the chance to thrive – the whole world benefits. #IWD #IWD2025 #EmpoweredWomenPowerTheWorld #ProudToBeFME
