With a fleet of 280 modern container ships and a total transport capacity of 2.1 million TEU, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world’s leading liner shipping companies. Hapag-Lloyd AG hat dies direkt geteilt
📢 The owner-managed logistics company Röhlig Logistics, and Hapag-Lloyd, one of the world's largest container shipping lines, have entered a strategic partnership to reduce shipping emissions through the integration of biofuels. Under the agreement, Röhlig will utilise Hapag-Lloyd’s advanced biofuel product “Ship Green” for emission-reduced ocean transport. By purchasing biofuel derived from waste and residue-based feedstocks, Röhlig ensures that emissions equal to 100% of its shipments’ well-to-wake footprint are avoided within the Hapag-Lloyd fleet. This cooperation is aligned with both companies’ ongoing efforts to offer sustainable logistics solutions and contribute to global climate protection. We’re excited to share the success of the first phase of our partnership with 4Life Solutions and World Vision in Tanzania. Together, we've made a significant impact by providing over 20,000 households with an innovative, eco-friendly water purification solution that is transforming community health: the SaWa Bag.🌟 Assistant Medical Officer, Charles Mlonganile, noted: “A large percentage of the community we serve has seen a notable decrease in diarrhea cases compared to areas without SaWa bags.” In fact, local health facilities report that this reduction stands at 43%. We’ve been meticulously finalizing the details of our joint ocean freight network for East-West trades, including finalized service maps and an alternative Cape of Good Hope network in response to ongoing disruptions in the Red Sea. ➡️ Tuticorin Milestone: Our first call at the Tuticorin International Container Terminal marks a significant achievement.
