Through an insightful session, we introduced ONE’s sustainability initiatives in the shipping industry and conducted an interactive workshop. 🌱 With sustainability becoming a top priority in the maritime sector, students actively participated in discussions on the future of sustainable shipping. Their enthusiasm and thought-provoking insights made for a truly engaging and meaningful session. Professor Henrik shared, “It was truly exciting to have ONE share their industry expertise with our students. Learning first-hand about real-world sustainability challenges and solutions in shipping adds immense value to our course, bridging the gap between theory and practice. To celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, we organized a closed-door panel discussion on “Action Leaders: Driving Change at ONE and Beyond.” The distinguished panellists included Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) Executive Director - Ms. Tan Beng Tee; Vice President of Global Container Steering at ONE - Ms. Maggie Zhan; and Vice President of Global Commercial and Service Management at ONE Rupesh Jain. The engaging discussion covered key topics such as workplace inclusivity, the growing number of female maritime leaders in Singapore driving change, and the role of SMF in refreshing the industry’s narrative to attract more female talent from diverse backgrounds and fields. The panellists also took the time to answer questions from the audience. This panel discussion was both insightful and inspiring.
