𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆’𝘀 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 After intensive planning, the transmission system operators have officially submitted their application for the hydrogen core network to the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). This marks the beginning of a nationwide, efficient hydrogen network of 9,666 km, with the first pipelines to be converted next year. By 2032, the core grid will gradually connect central consumption and production hubs as well as storage and import centers.   The hydrogen network itself will be set up by converting existing gas transport pipelines. This conversion will enable the efficient transport of hydrogen over long distances and shall support the hydrogen economy in Germany and Europe. By creating this core network, the decarbonization of industry and energy supply can be further driven and interest in investing in the hydrogen economy can be increased. As a manufacturer of electrolyzers based in Augsburg, we are ready to support this transformative journey. Especially since the planned hydrogen network will run close to Augsburg. Our second site in Hamburg will also benefit, as the network will also run close to Hamburg. This strengthens Hamburg’s position as a hydrogen pioneer and central hub for hydrogen. Let us all work together and support the transition to climate neutrality and a sustainable future.   #hydrogenisnow #hydrogen #cleanenergy #hydrogennetwork

🕊 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁” This very special event in Augsburg is celebrated every year on August 8 as a public holiday. It applies exclusively to the city of Augsburg and is unique in Germany. Established in 1650, it stands for peace, diversity, and harmonious coexistence. The origins of the 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘴𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 go back to the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, which marked the end of the oppression of Protestants during the Thirty Years' War. The Protestant population of the Free Imperial City of Augsburg celebrated its first Peace Festival on August 8, 1650. They gave thanks for the fact that they were once again guaranteed full religious freedom. The annual cultural program takes an artistic and socio-political approach to current issues and dynamics in heterogeneous societies. With a different theme each year, it invites citizens to concerts, performances, theater, workshops, discussions and city tours. In December 2018, the 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘴𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 was included in the nationwide list of intangible cultural heritage due to its multi-week cultural program. Since our headquarter is based in Augsburg, many of our H-TECies also celebrate this special holiday. For us, it is a day to pause and remember the importance of celebrating our differences and working together for a better future. Let us celebrate the 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘴𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵 and try to spread the message of peace around the world. 🕊 #hydrogenisnow #friedensfestaugsburg #peace #diversity #culture

🌎 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆: 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲? Today marks Earth Overshoot Day – the day in the year when humanity’s consumption of ecological resources exceeds the capacity of the planet to regenerate itself in the same year. The event is hosted by Global Footprint Network and is calculated by dividing the planet’s biocapacity by humanity’s Ecological Footprint and multiplying by 365, the number of days in a year. The idea for this day was first proposed by Andrew Simms, who was working with New Economics Foundation. The foundation partnered with Global Footprint Network to launch the first Earth Overshoot Day campaign in 2006. Since then, the day has grown in popularity and now typically generates more than 10 billion media impressions. As we confront the challenges highlighted by Earth Overshoot Day, hydrogen is emerging as a critical part of the solution: 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Hydrogen can be produced from renewable sources such as wind, solar and hydropower, resulting in zero carbon emissions during production and use. This can significantly reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲: Hydrogen provides a way to store excess energy, ensuring a steady supply even when natural conditions are not favorable. This flexibility is essential for a resilient energy system. 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆: Hydrogen supports a circular economy by enabling the recycling of waste materials into hydrogen fuel through processes such as gasification, minimizing waste and promoting resource efficiency. Investing in hydrogen technologies is therefore consistent with the goals of reducing our environmental footprint. Today, on Earth Overshoot Day, let us commit to innovative solutions to restore balance and ensure a sustainable future. #hydrogenisnow #EarthOvershootDay #sustainability #cleanenergy

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 We recently asked our community to share their thoughts on who they believe are the key customers driving the hydrogen market, both now and in the future. The response was fantastic, and here are the insights you provided. Your feedback indicates that the chemical industry is seen as the primary driver of the hydrogen market, with significant contributions from the steel production sector. While the automotive industry is also a significant player, it appears less influential compared to chemicals and steel. We highlighted several key developments in the hydrogen industry and found that smaller projects are primarily focused on mobility. While larger projects are moving forward in sectors such as chemicals, paving the way for methanol and ammonia production, and steel production. Electrolysis plants, strategically located and efficiently operated, are crucial to accelerating sector coupling and integrating renewable energy production. However, for this transition to be successful, incentives for plant operators are needed and are currently in the planning stages. #hydrogenisnow #hydrogen #renewableenergy #climatechange #cleanenergy

𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 As industry seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, demand for large-scale hydrogen projects is increasing exponentially. Green hydrogen and its derivatives offer a promising solution. The Hydrogen Council forecasts that global hydrogen demand will rise to 375 million tons annually by 2050, with green hydrogen accounting for a significant share. Currently, over 90% of the world's hydrogen comes from fossil fuels, but this is changing quickly. To meet this demand, the focus is on rapidly scaling up the production of green hydrogen. PEM technology is proving to be the leading solution as it offers the flexibility to compensate for fluctuations in renewable energy. H-TEC SYSTEMS is at the forefront, building a Gigahub in Hamburg to automate PEM stack production, which is to be expanded to a capacity of 5 GW by 2030. In Houston, H-TEC offers large-scale electrolyzer solutions and collaborates with MAN Energy Solutions on product development. The Modular Hydrogen Platform (MHP) offers efficient and reliable hydrogen production on an industrial scale, with each 10 MW unit capable of producing 4,600 kilograms of pure hydrogen per day. The key to the MHP's success is its modular design, which enables cost-efficient scaling and increased reliability thanks to a robust redundancy concept. This ensures high plant efficiency and availability and minimizes production costs. Thanks to a worldwide service network, customers can expect stable performance over the entire product life cycle. #greenhydrogen #renewableenergy #hydrogenproduction #hydrogenisnow

𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 We launched a survey here asking: "𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘺𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴?" Thanks to everyone who participated. Today, we will share the results with you. It's clear that most of you see the expansion of the hydrogen infrastructure as the key factor for the future of the hydrogen market, closely followed by regulatory developments. Investment in electrolysis projects is also considered important, but somewhat less than the other categories. The "Other" category received a response, stating that grid support would be one oft he most important pieces of the puzzle to realize large projects. This is an insightful addition to the conversation, highlighting the importance of a robust grid to support major hydrogen initiatives. In our original post, we highlighted some important milestones, such as regulatory developments at the EU level as part of RED II, the rapidly developing plans for a hydrogen backbone network, and the adaptation of several laws, including the Federal Immission Control Act and the Energy Industry Act. We also see the increasing number of investment decisions for large electrolysis projects as a very positive signal for the continued rapid development of the market. #hydrogenisnow #hydrogen #renewableenergy #climatechange #cleanenergy
