💡We are facing exciting weeks in German politics that will have a major impact not only on our society as a whole, but also on the fledgling hydrogen economy 🚀 🤝 After the federal election, the CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion and Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD) have concluded their exploratory talks. Coalition negotiations are about to start.  👉 We strongly support the Deutscher Wasserstoff-Verband (DWV) e.V. recommendations from the H2Five paper for the upcoming legislative period. Regarding the ramp-up of hydrogen carriers, we consider the following to be particularly important 👇 ➡️ Resumption of work on the Hydrogen Acceleration Act  ➡️ Rapid implementation of REDIII into national law: An ambitious design of a real GHG reduction quota of 40 percent by 2030 and a quota for RFNBOs of at least 1 percent as part of the RED III implementation in the transport sector supports the H2 market ramp-up ➡️ RED III targets in the industry and transport sector cannot be achieved with existing funding schemes alone. We need binding obligations and penalties ➡️ Expansion of port infrastructure and hydrogen import terminals: LOHC technology can accelerate this process as it leverages existing liquid fuel infrastructure  ➡️ Implementation of more funding programs for hydrogen imports  ➡️ Continue dedicated support for IPCEI projects  ➡️ Publication of the announced hydrogen storage strategy  ➡️ Tendering of hydrogen power plants  ➡️ More growth capital for innovative SMEs  ➡️ Effective support for SMEs to fulfil collateral and funding criteria   💪 “There is a broad consensus that investments in infrastructure are urgently needed. Given the missed opportunities to build a strong solar industry in Germany, we must now take action to maintain our leading position in hydrogen technology. It is not an either-or choice between infrastructure and climate protection. We have the opportunity to do both and at the same time put Germany at the forefront of innovative, globally needed technology solutions”, as our Executive Chairman Daniel Teichmann points out. #Hydrogen #LOHC #Energytransition #Bundesregierung #Wasserstoff #Energiewende #Germany

  • 👉🌍 Hydrogen is global – and so is Hydrogenious! This week we welcomed a delegation from Central Asia to our headquarters in Erlangen. As part of a five-day study tour, the participants learned about the practical use of green hydrogen in industry - particularly in energy-intensive sectors that are difficult to decarbonize. 💪 Of course, this is where our LOHC technology excels, as the excess heat from such industrial processes can be used to release the hydrogen from our liquid carrier. 💡The group of more than 20 participants from Central Asia was very interested in our pilot plants and engaged into in-depth discussions with our technical experts. Top of the agenda was the possibility of using our LOHC to safely transport hydrogen in regions without pipelines.  🤝 We are always happy to share knowhow about our technology and talk about its opportunities with representatives from other nations - because the energy transition and decarbonization of industry can only succeed if we work together internationally. 💚 Our special thanks go to the German Foreign Office for supporting the trip, to the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) team for their excellent organization, and to the translators who made this exciting exchange with the delegates possible. #hydrogen #LOHC #energytransition #cleantech
