More than a job: Claudia Lopez Rivera's Intuitive da Vinci story
This is the story of Claudia Lopez Rivera, senior manufacturing engineer. She and her family left El Salvador’s civil war for a better life, and she found a passion for process engineering at Intuitive. In 2019, all the processes Claudia works so hard to create became very personal when she needed da Vinci surgery to remove her gall bladder. “I cannot say enough about how great an outcome my surgery was,” Claudia shares.

Why is working at Intuitive more than a job? Because often the products we build affect the people we love. That was true for sisters Alece Gallop and Eliana Green. Alece has been with Intuitive for more than 13 years and always wanted her sister to join her. Eliana happened to arrive at Intuitive the month their father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He and his doctors decided the best course of treatment was a da Vinci prostatectomy.
