    From Local to Global: Winning Tactics for Sportswear Expansion ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dx2CsSXC The global sportswear market is experiencing rapid growth and generating compelling opportunities for brands looking to expand. The market size was reported at $412.82 billion in 2022 and projected growth will push the market to $748.79 billion by 2031. Aspects of this increase will be propelled by regions of Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America—generally perceived as ‘overlooked’ markets but rapidly becoming 'emerging' markets. International expansion enables brands to diversify their markets and mitigate risk. When one market is in decline, the growth of other markets could offset declines. However, brands do need to consider the local preferences in the area and adapt their products, such as Puma's cricket apparel in India. There are many ways to enter new markets. Low-risk entry methods such as exporting or licensing are good ways to test unknown markets. More direct entry methods such as joint ventures require a higher level of commitment on behalf of the company to enter a market, but offer more control once in market, as Adidas experienced when entering India. The first step to entering new regions will always be establishing or offering something for the local consumer base. Nike employs the strategy of hyper-localization to modify its products and communications on a region by region basis. Partnerships and continuous research will help brands remain competitive after entering new regions, along with pricing methods that account for the local consumer's purchasing power. This collaboration brings together the best of sports and fashion. CIFF will have a partner stand at ISPO Munich 2024, taking place from December 3-5, where Danish brands will showcase the fusion of sports and fashion. Athleisure, sports fashion, and streetwear are becoming an essential part of everyday life, and this trend will be highlighted through the Zeitgeist by ISPO and ISPO 520M concepts. CIFF will also feature sports fashion brands traditionally rooted in the fashion industry. A joint program for press and trade partners will run alongside ISPO Munich, offering fresh inspiration from CIFF brands in denim, sportswear, streetwear, and sneakers. Looking ahead, selected ISPO brands will be featured at the 2025 Copenhagen Fashion Week as part of CIFF’s 64th edition.
