Juni nahm JKPeV am „Kompass für das Klimachaos“-Camp als Teil des Calm-ey-Projekts teil, welches sich mit der Klimasorge bei Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen beschäftigt. 💚 🌍 Jugendliche aus Deutschland, Estland, Dänemark und Malta versammelten sich im malerischen Regstrup, Dänemark, um an einer emotionalen Spirale teilzunehmen, die auf „The Work That Reconnects“ von Joanna Macy basiert. 🌀 🌱 Gemeinsam erkundeten die Teilnehmenden ihre Sorgen um die Umwelt, teilten ihre Emotionen mit und führten Übungen zur Reflexion durch, die schließlich dazu führten, sich mit der Natur zu verbinden. Die Teilnehmenden setzten sich mit ihren Sorgen auseinander, gewannen neue Erkenntnisse und entwickelten eine Dankbarkeit für die Erde. Diese kraftvolle Erfahrung half ihnen, die Welt mit neuen Augen zu sehen und mit neuer Energie vorwärts zu gehen. 🍃✨ Es ist wichtig zu erkennen, dass die Klimaproblematik eine gemeinsame Herausforderung ist. Dieses Camp machte deutlich, wie wichtig es ist, Lösungen in der Gemeinschaft zu finden. 🌿🙏 👇🌲🎉 Bleib dran für Geschichten und Einblicke der Teilnehmenden, die ihre transformativen Erfahrungen und neuen Perspektiven zur Bewältigung der Klima-Herausforderungen teilen! #KlimaAktion #Umweltangst #CalmEyProject ______________________________________________ 🌱Calm-ey: Compass for Climate Chaos Camp🧭 From June 20th to 24th, JKPeV took part in the "Compass for Climate Chaos" camp as part of the Calm-ey project, tackling climate worry in youth and young adults. 💚 🌍 Youth from Germany, Estonia, Denmark and Malta gathered in the picturesque Regstrup, Denmark, to take part in a spiral of emotions based on "The Work That Reconnects" by Joanna Macy. 🌀  🌱 Together, participants explored their environmental concerns, sharing their emotions and engaging in reflection exercises, which ultimately led to reconnecting with nature. They embraced their concerns, gained fresh insights, and fostered gratitude for the Earth. Our JKPeV team had an incredible time in Budapest for the 2nd Transnational Partner Meeting and Youth Award Ceremony of the HerStories project! Represented by filmmaker Olga Yocheva and EU Programme Manager Myrto-Helena Pertsinidi, we joined Centropa Hungary, Galicia Jewish Museum, Centropa Germany, Jewish Museum of Greece, and Mozaika from Spain. We discussed the project's progress, upcoming local exhibitions, the website, and our documentary film. We’re excited to host the final event in Dresden in September 2024! On June 1st, we joined 33 pupils and 12 teachers from 7 countries for a Jewish quarter walking tour in Budapest, followed by the screening of Hedvig Endrei’s play-film and a student session at the Mozaik Hub. Meeting Holocaust survivors Vera Szekeres-Varga and Olga Sólyom was deeply moving and educational. The day ended with an inspiring award ceremony at JCC Bálint House. We celebrated the exceptional documentary films and podcasts created by students, honoring Jewish women's stories and their roles during and after the war. Wir ehrten die außergewöhnlichen Dokumentarfilme und Podcasts, die von Schüler*innen erstellt wurden und die Geschichten jüdischer Frauen und ihre Rolle während und nach dem Krieg würdigen. English below 👇 Wir waren mit unseren kreativen Bildungsworkshops zu Gast im NS-Dokumentationszentrum München. Gemeinsam mit Schüler*innen aus München hatten wir letzte Woche das besondere Vergnügen uns im Rahmen unseres Projekts Ich wand‘re durch Theresienstadt kreativ mit der Geschichte auseinanderzusetzen. In Workshops zum kreativen Schreiben, Film und Schauspiel lernten die jungen Erwachsenen mehr über das Lager Theresienstadt zur NS-Zeit und konnten sich mit dem historischen und kulturellen Erbe der inhaftierten Künstler*innen auseinandersetzen. English--- We were guests at the Munich Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism with our creative educational workshops. Together with pupils from Munich, we had the great opportunity last week to creatively engage with history as part of our project ICH WAND'RE DURCH THERESIENSTADT. In workshops on creative writing, film and acting, the young adults learnt more about the Theresienstadt camp during the Nazi regime and were able to engage with the historical and cultural heritage of the imprisoned artists. A huge thank you to the fantastic team at the Munich Documentation Centre for the wonderful opportunity to hold the workshops here and for your hospitality!
