If you value flexibility or would like to teach German part-time, Lingoda gives you the freedom to take over as many or few classes per week as you please. Navigating the development of an inclusive and equal workplace can be complex, without any doubt, e.g. in identifying hidden biases or uncovering barriers. 🤔Where to start? How to reduce complexity? How to engage employees? At Lingoda, we approached DEI with two formats in the past couple of months. Starting off, we introduced a brief but impactful online training session through our partner, Paradigm! 🎉This training is designed to introduce everyone to DEI concepts and spark curiosity and engaging discussions that have practical relevance and can be applied in our daily lives and work. The next step is aimed at getting the conversation going. In two open roundtable sessions, our Lingodies… 💭 reflected upon learnings from the training 💡identified topics in the DEI world that particularly interest them  👣 raised follow-up questions, igniting next steps and DEI focus areas at our company The result was a board filled with inspiration, questions and ideas to nurture our upcoming DEI initiatives and focus at Lingoda. What a great start to our DEI program! 🔓 Our takeaway? At Lingoda, learning is woven into our DNA, as well as an open mind towards mistakes. We are dedicated to fostering inclusivity and equity, without judging the different knowledge base employees might have.  If we really want to engage all employees, we need to go beyond informational sessions. Different voices and perspectives in interactive formats enrich the discussion and foster trust to discuss even uncomfortable topics in a safe setting. 🙌 We are looking forward to this ongoing journey together!
