Lean experts and managers from STRABAG came to Papenburg from all over Germany last week to exchange experiences on #lean management with our Business Improvement Team.   We were particularly pleased that Peter Hübner, a member of the STRABAG AG Executive Board, also took part in the event. He is also President of the Federation of the German Construction Industry. This shows how important lean training is for one of the largest construction groups in Germany.   In addition to the exchange on lean transformation, initial ideas for possible collaboration were also part of the discussions. One common ground was quickly found: Building bridges - MEYER WERFT on cruise ships and Strabag in road transport. 😉 #leanexperts #leanmanagement #leanshipbuilding #collaboration

Chancellor Scholz visits MEYER WERFT - Management and owner family welcome the emerging agreement to secure the company's future During a visit to MEYER WERFT in Papenburg, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Lower Saxony's Minister President Stephan Weil emphasized their firm commitment to supporting the company as part of a restructuring and future concept. This willingness to support the company was acknowledged by the management and the owner family. Start of Production for first Converter Platform Production of the #DolWin delta converter platform began yesterday at MEYER WERFT with the symbolic start of steel cutting. DolWin delta is the first of four converter platforms that MEYER WERFT is manufacturing in large part on behalf of DRAGADOS OFFSHORE. The end customer and subsequent operator is the German transmission system operator Amprion GmbH. "We are delighted to build the steel sections for the converter platforms here in Papenburg and are proud to be making a key contribution to the energy transition.
