𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 Many startups provide solutions that companies urgently need, yet they often struggle to connect. To address this, we at Hamburg Invest hosted a Partner Event to highlight the potential of venture clienting and better understand the needs on both sides. Dr. Rolf Strittmatter, CEO of Hamburg Invest welcomed all participants and highlighted the chances of Venture Clienting for Hamburg's economy: 👉 "By bringing together startups, corporations, and experts, we want to continue closing the gap between innovation and business demands, helping to drive Hamburg's ecosystem forward." Gregor Gimmy, Founder and CEO of 27pilots provided great insights on how companies can build, improve, and scale their internal venture client units. Gregor has over 22 years of experience. Before 27pilots, he worked at BMW, where he invented the venture client model and founded the BMW Startup Garage : 👉 "The process of establishing a venture client unit is more complex than one might think. It's no coincidence that the topic is also being explored academically. Find your best problems first and then look for the best startups internationally." Julia Kunstmann from OTTO Dock 6 then took the stage to explain how Otto successfully implemented Venture Clienting to optimize products and processes : 👉 "It is key that the Venture Client Unit really understands the problem of the experts in the different departments inside the company. Only then can they look for the right startup to solve the problems. To do so, they need to scan hundreds of international startups, and they need to understand their technology. This cannot be done on the side, or you will burn money instead of reducing costs." Following Julia, Timo Behrmann of Nect GmbH shared his perspective on how startups can benefit from this model to scale and grow their businesses. He illustrated this by showing how Nect Ident has worked for various large corporations, including Deutsche Telekom : 👉 "As a startup in the early stages, you can still respond to market needs, such as those of a venture client. In a strong partnership, both sides benefit equally." That's certainly valuable advice for startups! The event concluded with a dynamic panel discussion, moderated by Edda Becker from OBI Group Holding, where the speakers discussed the opportunities, challenges, and best practices for implementing Venture Clienting in Hamburg’s ecosystem. A huge thank you to Heike Tipmonta for guiding us so nicely through the evening and to all our speakers, partners, and participants for making this event a success! We've definitely gained valuable insights to guide our work and will continue strengthening Hamburg’s position as a future hub for startups and corporations. 🙌 #FutureHamburg  #VentureClienting #Innovation #Startups #HamburgInvest

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼: 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 The Hamburg-based startup shipzero founded by Mirko Schedlbauer and Tobias Bohnhoff, is transforming the freight transport industry by focusing on decarbonization. Freight transport is a significant source of CO2 emissions, particularly from road traffic. Shipzero aims to address this by leveraging data to help companies reduce their carbon footprint. Founded in 2018, Shipzero’s emissions data platform collects, harmonizes, and analyzes transport data, enabling companies to calculate and manage their emissions more effectively. With over 80 million transport operations recorded across more than 100 countries, the platform provides actionable insights that help businesses make data-driven decisions to reduce emissions. Shipzero's three-step process includes data collection, emissions calculation according to international standards, and in-depth analysis to identify the most impactful reduction strategies. As the industry faces increasing pressure from regulations, such as the CO2 surcharge on truck tolls, Shipzero’s services are becoming more critical for companies looking to stay competitive while meeting sustainability goals. The founders, both deeply rooted in Hamburg, are committed to making the city a hub for green logistics innovation. Shipzero not only helps businesses reduce emissions but also sets a new standard for sustainability in the logistics industry. 👉 Read more about their story: https://lnkd.in/eQftnRAv #startupcityhamburg #GreenLogistics #SustainableTransport #Decarbonization #FreightInnovation photo © shipzero: the founders Mirko Schedlbauer and Tobias Bohnhoff

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰: 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 StockRepublic is on a mission to make social trading more popular.  The innovative Swedish startup, which has already seen great success at home, is now set to take off in Germany and has chosen Hamburg as its German base. Social trading is a form of investment in which shareholders can view, discuss and replicate the strategies or portfolios of other members via a dedicated social network. The beginnings of StockRepublic go back as far as 2010 when Fabian Grapengiesser founded the fintech startup Shareville in Stockholm. He was joined by Preben Rydin and as of 2014 Adam Svanberg as co-founders. The trio turned Shareville into the largest social network for stock trading in Scandinavia before it was acquired by the internet bank Nordnet in 2016. Their passion for social trading persisted, though, leading them to develop their next venture StockRepublic whose German subsidiary is headed by Maximilian Knopp. The company chose Hamburg not only because of its strategic partnership with comdirect – eine Marke der Commerzbank AG, but also for offering ideal conditions for startups. It is now being supported by the InnoFinTech program, a new funding programme by IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH that is unique in Germany and aimed at startups from the financial sector, but also from the legal, property and insurance industries. “The city can be seen as a springboard for further growth. Hamburg offers many suitable initiatives for attracting international companies”, says Maximilian Knopp. We wish them much success! 👉 Read more about their story: https://lnkd.in/d2ufs9Up #startupcityhamburg #StartedInHamburg #startup #stockmarket
