🎮 Last Month in AI with Dr Paul Marsden: Remote Control 🎮 October gave AI the remote control - perhaps the remote control to human destiny. AI lab Anthropic led the charge with an upgrade to its assistant, Claude, giving it 'agentic' powers to autonomously control computers, browse, code, and more. Not to be outdone, the other big players followed suit: Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Amazon all announced similar upgrades to their AI assistants. Goodbye, AI assistants. Hello, AI agents. First tests of AI agents, however, show mixed results. Claude, for instance, tried coding to win a game but got distracted by pictures of Yellowstone. If this is the dawn of the AI takeover, at least we know our defense: pretty pictures. The implications are profound, not least for agencies like ours. Tasks that can be done on a screen are now fair game for automation. The future for us humans? It lies beyond the screen, in the spaces where genuine presence, connection, and creativity flourish. 📊Our Q3 report 2024 is online! Operating income rose by 25 per cent to EUR 4.3 million compared to the first 9-months of the previous year, improving the operating EBIT margin to around 8 per cent. 🗯️ Our CEO, Frank Wolfram, says about the results: "Despite a persistently challenging economic environment, particularly in our core market of Germany, we have performed well in the first nine months of the year.
