Can we reimagine mobility? Is it about getting from A to B or is it about no longer setting up A and B? Can we reimagine emobility? Is it just the virtual substituting for the physical and the internet/AI assisting with the calculation of itineraries or is it a world of more differentiated relationships, with new protocols, rituals, costs, expectations that change why and how we connect? Can we reimagine data from its current passive/objectivist (garbage-in/garbage-out) status to an infosphere of curated gardens with rich, diverse, credible, responsible, negotiated meanings? 🚍 🌿 Recently spotlighted on Cameroonian television, the collaborative #MoVeYaoundé project — funded by the European Union, Agence Française de Développement, and Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) — aims to transform urban mobility in Yaoundé by 2035. Together with AFD and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the project supports the city’s vision of a safe, efficient, and eco-friendly transport network. Highlights include a planned Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor, street upgrades, green corridors, and improvements to the iconic yellow taxi service, enhancing comfort and safety. Gender-sensitive data from the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) is also guiding inclusive planning. Watch the TV feature for more on this transformative journey. 🌿🚍
