There are good reasons why operators of #steamturbines rely on our electromechanical linear actuator with trip function (EMA) when very precise and highly dynamic regulation of the mass flow is required. This innovative actuator with fail-safe function has only electrical and mechanical interfaces. The device is completely oil-free. This eliminates the usual operating costs for oil management.❗ And because the actuator works oil-free, there is also a lower fireload on the overall system, which insurance companies often reward. In addition, nothing stands in the way of use in locations with high environmental requirements. The low #energyconsumption, which we were able to reduce by 80 % compared to conventional electro-hydraulic actuators, also helps to cut costs. 💶 Incidentally, our EMA also impresses with its high reliability - the estimated mean time between failures (MTBF) is over 35 years and ensures the high productivity in the customer's plant over long periods of time. Thanks to their impressive technology, our air compressors for #trucks 🚚 are an important building block for environmentally friendly mobility - in several ways. For example, the two-stage compression with intercooling enables significantly higher performance in delivery mode. This significantly reduces energy consumption and #CO2emissions. And innovative technologies also ensure maximum #efficiency and lower emissions in non-conveying mode. The best example of this is the LP 560, which various renowned truck manufacturers rely on in their high-efficiency lines. With its integrated TwinSave technology, the valves are open in non-conveying mode and the air can circulate freely in the unit. This reduces the drive power and enables significant savings in energy consumption and CO2 emissions. 🍃 In non-delivery mode, this amounts to a total of up to 15% compared to single-stage air compressors and technologies with an self idling system (SLS). Thanks to a maintenance-free dual-taper coupling – which also ensures reliability -– it also saves energy, weight and installation space, thus reducing CO2 emissions by an additional 30%. 🎉 Ahoy from SMM Hamburg: We thank our partner Mapso Marine Technology for visiting our booth yesterday, where we have celebrated the 1,000th Voith Water Tractor (#VWT) together! 🤝 Mapso was established in 1976 in the wake of the Suez Canal re-opening in 1975 and is considered as a major supplier to the Suez Canal Authority in Egypt since then. The largest population of Voith Schneider Propellers (#VSP) worldwide have been sold and installed by Mapso – e.g. for tugs, ferries and floating crane applications. Up to now, Mapso sold in total 374 VSPs to the Egyptian market. 201 of them have been installed in VWTs and 173 in other highly maneuverable vessels. It is therefore hardly surprising that the 1,000th VWT sold worldwide will be built and delivered locally in Egypt. ➡️ Wanna know more?
