They've raised € 4 M in seed funding, led by General Catalyst, to bring some serious green magic to the construction industry. Emidat’s software cuts the cost and time taken to generate Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) by over 70%. With a centralized repository for environmental data, Emidat makes it easier for stakeholders to access and compare information, helping manufacturers demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. This investment will enable Emidat to support the construction industry in reducing its environmental footprint, starting with a revolution in the labelling of building materials. Fueling next-gen innovation: #FundingNews from autarkize and ExoMatter 💸💸 autarkize from Batch #15 has successfully closed a € 2.3 M seed funding round, led by HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and supported by Dutch impact investor Fair Capital Impact Fund, Interface Capital, Innovation for Impact, Floris Capital GmbH and renowned business angels Lucas von Fürstenberg and Ulrich Blessing. This funding will help the start-up to accelerate their expansion especially in the areas of biogas technology and heat and steam production, crucial for decarbonizing industrial processes and creating large-scale CO2 sinks. Their innovative technology converts biogenic residues - like waste wood and fermentation by-products - into renewable gas and certified biochar. But they are among the most important for our teams. Sharing your progress, obstacles and challenges among peers is powerful. Often it's a problem of not seeing the forest for all the trees.
