On the 10th of October, this year's member's meeting at "VidenOmVind - bliv klogere på vind og vindmøller" took place in Aarhus where the wind project developers in Denmark gathered to hear about recent developments in EU regulation on planning for renewable projects and a new Danish regulation and guideline for the protection of bats. Birgitte Egelund Olsen from Environment and Food Complaints Board explained how the board handles complaints concerning renewable projects and environmental protection. The meeting gave a lot of valuable insights. As a member of VidenOmVind Eurowind Energy took part in the meeting represented by Jesper Houe, Toke Rinfelt-Iversen, Nina Bødker, Joachim Steenstrup and Søren Klinge.

Over the past few weeks, we have participated in 10 different fairs. Last week, we attended Aarhus Maskinmesterskole, P-day at Katrinebjerg, and Talent Day in Aarhus. We have identified four key takeaways from our experiences: 💡 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀.  While this might seem obvious, we noticed a strong interest in our social initiatives, such as the staff association, company day events, running clubs, cross-fit teams, and skiing trips. 💡 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 – 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. For example, at our fair in Germany, there was a high demand for various types of merchandise, while in France, too much merchandise was seen as overkill. When engaging with primary and lower secondary school students, there was a keen interest in giveaways. However, older students showed less enthusiasm for such items. 💡𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀.  What really captures people’s attention is our complete value chain, which translates into a wide range of career opportunities. 💡 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿.  At larger fairs, catering is well-organized, but at smaller career events, many companies opt for homemade cakes, cookies, and other treats. Next up is the Spækhuggeren fair in Aarhus on October 31st, which focuses on financial profiles. If you’re looking for a new opportunity in the finance sector, join us at Aarhus School of Business in the S-building at Campus, Fuglsangs Allé, from 10:00-15:30. While there won’t be trick-or-treating, we promise a touch of Halloween spirit! 🎃

These days we have 60 guests in Hobro for an inspirational study trip for DSO and TSO companies in some of our markets. During the two day trip, we have arranged for the guests to visit GreenLab Skive – with a great presentation from CEO Thomas Helsgaun – and presentations from Nicolaj Mølgaard Jakobsen, Head of The Grid Economy Department at Green Power Denmark and Henrik Fiil-Nielsen, Director for Regulation, N1. A handful of our own subject matter experts are also providing insights and inspiration. Jonas Michaelsen, Tommy Graesborg Nielsen, Søren Grundtdal Jeppesen and Jeppe Rahbek shares experiences with everything from hydrogen production to how renewables can help stabilise the grid. Eurowind Energy CEO Jens Rasmussen hosts the dinner at the legendary Hotel Amerika in Hobro, which allows for both serious discussions and more light-hearted socialising. The trip will be concluded with a visit at Danish TSO, Energinet. It is a true pleasure share knowledge with important grid companies and extend the relationships with DSOs and TSOs from seven European countries.

Recently, Jens Rasmussen and søren rasmussen gave an exclusive interview to TV2 Nord, discussing how Eurowind Energy has evolved and their ambition to continue growing and become a power major in #renewable energy. The starting point was the recent partnership with Wind Estate, which highlights the importance of partnerships as a key focus and reason behind the company’s success. In the interview, they also talk about how they have leveraged their brotherhood and differences as strengths rather than sources of competition. The interview is in Danish (link in comments)

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 At Eurowind Energy, we are committed to battery. Batteries are an effective #renewable energy source because they store energy for use when production is low, ensuring a consistent and reliable power supply. Our industry experts have identified three key focus areas that drives and will drive our battery initiatives in time: 1. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬: We prioritize forming strategic partnerships over traditional supplier relationships. Our partners are integral to our long-term vision and operational excellence, ensuring that we innovate and maintain high performance standards for years to come. 2. 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Navigating the complexities of legislation is crucial for the strategic placement of batteries. If the laws surrounding batteries are adjusted to better reflect reality (just like with wind and PV), Eurowind Energy, with our extensive grid connections, is uniquely well positioned to leverage these opportunities very effectively. 3. 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰: We are focused on how batteries can complement our existing assets. This will not only enhance our operational efficiency but also enable us to operate independently in case of grid failures. Our goal is to future-proof our parks and transform them into the power plants of tomorrow. Eurowind Energy is at the forefront of the battery revolution, and we are excited about the future. 🌍🔋

This week has been a whirlwind, participating in no less than four different fairs— both large and small! We kicked off the week in Hamburg, marking a milestone with our very first stand at Wind Energy Hamburg. It was an incredible experience, and we’re already looking forward to being back in 2026. In addition to Wind Energy Hamburg, we joined three career fairs: UCN Matchmaking in Aalborg, MARTEC in Frederikshavn, and the Green Innovation Week in Skive. A big thank you to everyone who visited us in Hamburg, Aalborg, Frederikshavn, and Skive. It was a pleasure meeting you all!

We are thrilled with the buzz around our booth at WindEnergy Hamburg. Thanks to all visitors who stopped by at the first day of the fair. This is our debut with our own booth, and it has been a pleasure meeting both curious bystanders and welcoming our business partners to discuss Eurowind Energy. We’ll be here for two more days, offering freshly brewed coffee made by our own barista throughout the day. Come visit us – we look forward to meeting you! Hall A3 stand 571. Beatrice Balsam and Sandra Pause at the counter will be happy to guide you to one of our many colleagues.
