Om os

European Energy builds solutions to climate change. We develop, construct and operate wind and solar farms all around the world. Our farms supply consumers and companies with green power, and provides a stable revenue to the institutional investors we are cooperating with. European Energy has constructed around 2 GW wind and solar PV farms.

Summer throwback! In July, we celebrated the commissioning of a 38.5 MWp photovoltaic park with Gruppo Iren. Over the past few years, we have collaborated with Iren on a total of around 180 MW of solar parks. At this park, we will produce 58 GWh of renewable energy annually, meeting the energy needs of over 17,000 households and avoiding more than 42,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly.

Summer vacation is now over but not much of a break for the hardworking construction & commissioning team at our Kassø e-methanol facility. We will now start energizing the plant and plan to start producing the first e-methanol later this year. Yes, there will probably be bumps on the road - after all, it is a somewhat complex plant. But I am totally confident that the team will find solutions to the obstacles they encounter as they have demonstrated over and over again. And all those solutions will be baked into the future projects where we aim to lower the production cost in each step of the process - from the production of renewable energy to the conversion into green molecules. #inittogether #methanol #greenhydrogen #renewableenergy #powertox

Bifacial PV modules on single-axis trackers are the dominant system type being installed today and will continue to grow in the future. The IEA PVPS Task 13 has just published a report on the best practices for optimizing the performance of such systems. The report can be downloaded for free here: https://lnkd.in/dEVxU3y3 I am extremely proud to be a co-author of this report in collaboration with 16 other authors from 8 countries. My favorite contribution this report provides the community are the extensive market surveys of tracker companies as well as tracker owners/operators (field experience). But there are many more exciting sections to check out including those on albedo optimization, instrumentation best practices, a review of tracker control algorithms, use of trackers for agriPV applications and more!

Kassø Power-to-X visit - soon the world's first large scale e-methanol facility As I am wrapping up a great vacation on the Danish West coast, I had the opportunity to visit Kassø Power-to-X facility in Aabenraa Municipality. Later this year, this will become the world’s first large-scale commercial e-methanol facility in operation. Wow! I was deeply impressed to witness how European Energy is making huge progress in advancing solar, wind, storage, and e-fuels, and how these technologies contribute to our energy independence and to the green transition. I was also excited to hear about the ambitions for a significantly larger footprint in the United States. More to come on this. Thanks to Thorvald Spanggaard for the invitation, and thanks to Hans Brask, Jaime Casasus-Bribian, & colleagues for showing me around this impressive European Energy facility. #greentransition #energyindependence #emethanol #Kassøf

🎉 Celebrating 800+ Strong! 🎉   It's moving that we reached what I truly think is an incredible number of 800 colleagues. I know it's very cliche to talk about what a journey it has been, but it really has been an amazing journey.   Our people are at the heart of everything we do. It's not just about working together; it's about growing together, sharing personal stories, and building lasting friendships. A big thanks to each and every one of you!

Rather than dedicating land to a single purpose, the future lies in solutions that integrate energy production, food security, nature conservation, and biodiversity. That's why we're thrilled to kick off the harvest season by gathering the first crops from the spaces between the solar panels in the #Agrivolt #AgriPV project at Flakkebjerg. Flakkebjerg Solar Park is a joint project between European Energy, Aarhus University, Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen and Slagelse Kommune, and funded by Innovation Fund Denmark.

We commend Vordingborg Municipality for its proactive approach to advancing renewable energy initiatives. The decision to move forward with nine projects, selected from the DK2020 Climate Plan, reflects a strong commitment to establishing Vordingborg as one of the leaders in green energy in Eastern Denmark. We are particularly pleased to see our Agri-PV project Barmosen included among these initiatives. This project represents an important step in integrating renewable energy production with agricultural practices, contributing to both local and regional environmental goals.
