Great achievements in the initial half of 2024 - Part 2 💚 2024 has already been an eventful year, marked by numerous successes across our markets. We look forward to the next half of the year and the great things awaiting us. Some of the great achievements: ➡ Inauguration of Windpark Lervik, Sweden ➡ Our Polish Country Manager and our Head of Biogas represented us at the Royal Galla in Warsaw, attended by Danish King Frederik. ➡ Finalised the first foundation of the 48 MW windfarm in Pecineaga, Romania.  ➡ Eurowind Energy x Norlys Energy Trading A/S - ON ICE 🏒❄  ➡ Team Marburg, Germany received the permit for our Kilbe-Mitte project with 3 wind turbines V162-6.2 after a processing time of just one year ➡ Begun the processing of a green hydrogen plant in Extremadura, Spain. This is just a glimpse of the many exciting activities that have taken place over the past six months.

In a growing organisation, it is important to keep your team spirit high and to share knowledge. This is just one of the many reasons why we often prioritize to gather the entire teams 💚 Our Asset Management team held their team day some time ago, and it consisted of deeper learning about what is going on in the department, about the EWE DNA and of course had teambuilding activities. In addition to that, they visited Handest Vest BESS, our hydrogen plant next to our HQ and much more. The conclusion is clear: It was a day well spent! 🙌 #EurowindEnergy

Great achievements in the initial half of 2024 - part 1 💚 Summer is upon us, providing an opportunity to reflect on some achievements we have reached in the first half of 2024 at Eurowind Energy. There have been impressive milestones, and we are pleased to see the continued development of activities across all of our markets. ➡ Inauguration of Windpark Nørre Økse Sø, Denmark ➡ Entered Denmark's first PPA between a renewable energy producer (Eurowind) and industrial cluster (GreenLab) ➡ We achieved 2 GW in Asset Management ➡ Finalised the design contract for our Bioenergy Hobro Nord biogas facility in collaboration with EnviTec Biogas AG. ➡ Obtained building permits for two PV projects in Slovakia ➡ Eurowind Energy Portugal received the Great Place to Work certification.  ➡ We obtained the construction permit for our 66 MW Frumusita wind farm in Romania. This, of course, is just a glimpse of all the exciting activities that have taken place in the past six months.

Meet our Graduate, Donald! Currently based in Hamburg, Donald works in Asset Management, engaging in a variety of tasks, with a particular focus on analytical and commercial responsibilities. Reflecting on his experience in the Graduate Programme at Eurowind Energy, he shares: "It's amazing! We have such a great team spirit, both among us graduates and throughout the entire organization. What I love most is that everyone is equal, and all opinions matter. I'm entrusted with significant projects because the team truly believes in me! The German team has welcomed me in the best possible way." Donald enjoys being a Dane in Germany, especially during moments like last night, when he found it easier to cheer for the German team in the quarterfinals, unlike the previous game against Denmark 😅

We are proud to present our 2023 Sustainability Report.    To us, sustainability means balancing economic benefits for stakeholders, providing social value through our activities and projects, and minimising environmental and social impacts. Over the past year and a half, we have intensified our sustainability efforts, hired new staff for the sustainability area and deepened our compliance measures.     This year’s report highlights key initiatives like our innovative nature conservation project in Finland and our EPC department's use of refurbished turbine parts. The report also features a slightly adjusted format, aligning more closely with the ESG reporting regulations set to be implemented in 2026.    We extend our gratitude to our dedicated 600+ great employees who are integral to our unique culture ensuring that our values are reflected in everything we say and do.    Let's create a green and sustainable future for everyone. 💚 Please find the report through this link: https://lnkd.in/d6jnqCku

We believe that we are a part of something bigger, which is why we actively support local initiatives and projects in the communities where we operate. Last week, we hosted an open day at our Kortekallio wind park in Suodenniemi, Sastamala (Finland). Luckily, the weather was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the turbines spinning and the company of all the great people who came by to discuss renewables. Thank you to everyone who visited the event, as well as PT-Wind and our team for organising everything. 🙌

In Eurowind Energy we currently have 15 projects in construction in various stages and 17 more projects soon going into construction. It is always a great pleasure to see a #renewable project come to life after the developing phase and follow the different stages of construction all the way to the final commissioning and grid connection. CEO Jens Rasmussen, Jakob Kirkegaard Kortbæk, Michael Hauggaard Skov, Jeppe Udby, Morten Gaarde, and Adrian Dobre among others, recently went to look at our construction site in Pecineaga, Romania. Both to follow progress but also to meet the local workers involved.    The wind farm in Constanța County will, once finished, consist of eight Siemens Gamesa SG 6.6-170 turbines. This type of #wind turbine is currently the largest in Romania, with an individual power output of 6.6 MW, a rotor diameter of 170 meters, and a total tip height of 220 meters. The park has an expected yearly output of approximately 176,000 MWh, enough to supply green energy for 48,000 Romanian households. #solutionsready #moregreenpower #greentransition

Great news: We have got our first two permits in Slovakia ☀ Soon we can add almost 17 MW #greenpower to our portfolio. In Slovakia our Country Manager Peter Hegedus and his team has obtained building permits for two #PV projects: 👉 PV Dobra, with an installed capacity 8 MWp, located in East of Slovakia, municipality of Dobra. 👉 PV Zeliezovce with an installed capacity 8,98 MWp, located in the South of Slovakia, municipality of Zeliezovce. Both projects are fully owned by Eurowind Energy s.r.o (Slovakia). Both projects have secured and signed grid connection contracts and currently we are working on construction permits which should be issued in Q3/Q4 2024. (Picture from our Danish PV Park St. Soels)

Let’s celebrate the sun on one of the brightest days of the year. The 21st of June is European #Solar Day. It is a collaborative initiative led by SolarPower Europe. In Eurowind Energy the sun and the wind are our most important co-workers. Did you know that solar energy (called #photovoltaic or just #PV) is the fastest growing #renewable energy source in the EU? Last year 56 GW of PV were installed in the EU, according to the European Commission. The solar energy sector is expected to continue to grow in the coming decades, driven by large-scale installations and the rise of residential rooftop installations. Besides the clean energy, it creates a lot of jobs. The picture is from our beautiful PV-park in Triana, Portugal. The solar park located near Lisbon generates power to 14.100 households, while avoiding the emission of more than 19.000 tons of CO2 per year.
