On Tuesday, our CEO, Thomas Helsgaun joined the Energy Conference in Kiel organized by Danish Industry where the focus was how Denmark and Germany can work together to scale up the green transition through hydrogen and CCS infrastructure. 🌍🔋 He was excited for the great conversations and perspectives and sees specific potential in using GreenLab as a test facility to support the scaling up of hydrogen infrastructure 💡 #letscreateapowershift #greentransition #collaboration #greenindustry

We’re proud of all the research projects in GreenLab, but today we celebrate the publication of Lucia Mortensen's new paper, which explores how greenfield developments can evolve into sustainable Eco-Industrial Parks. GreenLab’s journey is analysed as a case, and the critical success factors for going from greenfield to Eco-Industrial Park are established. We call it Research Community Days. Today, GreenLab was honored to welcome our renewable energy partner, Eurowind Energy who brought with them an impressive delegation of representatives from TSOs, DSOs, various ministries, and embassies from 🇧🇬 Bulgaria, 🇪🇪 Estonia, 🇫🇮 Finland, 🇱🇻 Latvia, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇷🇴 Romania, and 🇸🇰 Slovakia 🌍 The visit was kicked off with a warm welcome from GreenLab CEO, Thomas Helsgaun, who shared a presentation on GreenLab’s purpose and impact 🚀 Next, the delegation got a tour of the green industrial park to see how the green transition of industry is enabled by the direct coupling of industry and green power and to explore the possibility of creating similar green industrial clusters abroad 🏭♻️🔋 A special thank you to Joachim Steenstrup and the entire Eurowind Energy team for arranging this visit! 🙏 It was a pleasure to exchange ideas and showcase how partnerships like ours can accelerate the shift to a more sustainable future for industry! 💡⚡️ #letscreateapowershift #greentransition #collaboration #greenlab #eurowindenergy

Research, education, and hands-on green transition – that’s our idea of a great Thursday! 💡🎓 ♻️   Last week we welcomed 26 students from DTU Sustain together with the head of the section for Water Technology and Processes, Wenjing (Angela) ZHANG.    The students got a tour of GreenLab and had a lecture by Tao Jiang, who is a research fellow at GreenLab and DTU Sustain. The focus of his lecture was on water purification for use in electrolysis, which is also the focus of his research project in GreenLab funded by Villum Fonden 🚰 🔋   Thank you for a great visit, curious questions, and food for thought. I dag går det løs, når Green Innovation Makers afholder Green Innovation Week i Skive 🚀🌱 Temaet er fremtidens grønne arbejdsmarked og hvilke kompetencer det kommer til at kræve at omstille vores samfund. Det er noget vi er meget optagede af i GreenLab – blandt andet glæder vi os til at åbne vores Power-to-X uddannelsesanlæg for dygtige studerende, der skal trænes i ny grøn teknologi 👷🏼♀️ 👷🏼♂️   Det var en fornøjelse for vores head of Academy, Christian Dalgaard Sørensen, at deltage i paneldebatten om netop det emne, og vores Research Director Ebbe Kruse Vestergaard kårede vinderen af Circular Design Camp. A very big congratulations 🎉 to Dan Jørgensen on being appointed EU’s commissioner for energy and housing ⚡🏡 – it is indeed a well-deserved title.   Dan Jørgensen has been highly dedicated to the green transition for decades, and Denmark is fortunate to have him represent our visions and competencies in Bruxelles 🇪🇺   We have welcomed him more than once in GreenLab – the last time was in 2020 when he was the Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities and came by to see E.ON’s and GreenLab Skive Biogas’ facilities and hear about GreenLab’s take on integrated energy as a cornerstone in the future’s energy system.    We look forward to collaborating on a greener future for EU 🌿♻️   #letscreateapowershift #dkgreen #greenindustry

This week, we welcomed a legislative delegation from the USA to GreenLab 🇺🇸 We had the pleasure of giving a tour of the park to state senators, energy policy advisors, and other leaders from the great states of Arizona🌵, Kansas 🌾, North Dakota 🌬️, Nevada 🏜️, and Texas ⭐.   Thank you for your great questions and interest in our green industrial park 💡 We hope to see you again soon!
