xbuild plans to open a subsidiary in Sweden in the coming year 📫 This move is intended to allow xbuild to work closely with manufacturers and develop digital support tools based on the best practices in wood construction. Sweden is renowned for its long-standing tradition of wood construction, which makes it an ideal location for xbuild's development. As part of this transition, the current office in Søborg will be relocated and the positions held by Nicklas Hjortbøl and Maria Beyer Skydt have been terminated. Ludvig Find and Christian Lindfors will head the new Swedish operations. The company plans to build a team consisting of tech specialists and Swedish experts in wood construction and hybrid structures as it expands in Sweden. This effort is aimed at bringing optimization and digitization to the Danish and Swedish construction industries.

xbuild vil i det nye år åbne et datterselskab i Sverige 📫 Sverige har en lang tradition for træbyggeri, der gør det nemmere for xbuild at komme tættere på producenter samt at udvikle digitale støtteværktøjer baseret på best-practise inden for træbyggeri. I den forbindelse er det besluttet at nedlægge de to stillinger som Nicklas A Hjortbøl og Maria Beyer Skydt har besiddet, hvorfor xbuild ved samme lejlighed fraflytter kontoret i Søborg. Opstarten af de svenske aktiviteter vil blive drevet af Ludvig Find og Christian Lindfors og i takt med at virksomheden udvider i Sverige, vil de opbygge en organisation bestående af et tech-team samt svenske specialister indenfor træbyggeri og hybrid konstruktioner, og på den måde forsøge at bringe optimering og digitalisering til både den danske og svenske byggeindustri.

We are developing xbuild with and for the AEC industry, and we are fortunate to get expert advice from industry leaders, including computational specialist Timo Harboe Zollner 🖥 , structural engineering leader at Tyréns Martin Fröderberg 🌲🏢 , CLT Danmark CEO Per Thomas Dahl🌲🏗 and xbuild’s Chairman Christian Lindfors, PhD 🚀 who also heads Science Village Scandinavia. Yesterday, these great minds helped us map out critical decisions in our quest for how best to aid design teams in the early design stage in choosing the preliminary structural system when designing timber and hybrid structures in multistory buildings. And what pitfalls to avoid! Construction is complex, and industry standards for timber structures are yet to be developed, as well as well-established norms. So, how do we balance complexity over simplicity?
