The project to duplicate the 87-kilometer railway line between Beni Mansour and Bejaia, an extension of the northern line, is progressing rapidly. Significant material and manpower reinforcements have been deployed at the construction sites, enabling the advancement of technical infrastructure and tunnels across various sections. This major project is designed to boost the economic appeal of Bejaia's commercial port and will also improve the transportation of passengers and goods across cities connected to the national railway network.

Video: The phosphate mine in Belad El Hadba, eastern Algeria, has been successfully linked to the railway network in under a year since the project began.

As part of the construction of the second railway line of the High Plateaus, extending from Mechria in the west to M'sila in the east, passing through El Bayadh, Aflou, Djelfa and Boussaada, works continue on the first high-speed 220 km/h section between Mechria and El Bayadh along 130 km, while studies continue on the section connecting El Bayadh to M'sila. This section includes a passenger and cargo station in Tousmouline, a dedicated passenger and cargo station, and a train maintenance station in El Bayadh .

The Northern Line is undergoing continuous work on its 13.5km section between Annaba and Oued Ziad. The project includes two passenger terminals in Barahal, Annaba, and Azaba, Skikda.

Continued works on leveling and implementing technical structures in the Om Al-Assel-Tindouf section, covering a distance of 175 km of the new 950 km Bechar-Tindouf-Ghar Djebilet railway line.
