🎉 Exciting Update! 🎉 We're thrilled to share that the Sopi-Tootsi wind park is now taking shape, with all 38 turbines successfully installed. Janek Lillemägi, our Head of Wind Energy Construction, shared the latest: "All 38 turbines are up. Currently, 12 are grid-ready, and eight are already powering around 25,000 Estonian homes." So far, about one-third of the turbines are generating electricity. The remaining turbines will start contributing to the grid soon. We anticipate the wind park will reach full capacity in the first quarter of next year. Stay tuned! 🎥 Watch the full interview (in Estonian) for more details: https://lnkd.in/dPdF2E2D #enefitgreen #windenergy #electricity #sustainability

Celebrating milestones in Lithuania! Opening of the Šilalė II wind farm and the cornerstone-laying of the Kelmė wind farms in Lithuania – one of our key markets where we’ve firmly established our presence in wind energy. Despite challenges in the energy sector, our vision remains steadfast: to build a more sustainable and greener future. To achieve this, the share of renewable energy must continue to grow, enabling a transition to cleaner energy sources, meeting the rising demand for electricity, and ensuring long-term competitive prices for consumers. The Šilalė II wind park (43 MW) represents a major milestone for us. As Enefit Green’s first significant investment in 2021, it marked the start of our growth cycle and now generates 160 GWh of green electricity annually. And this is just the beginning – when completed, the Kelmė I (80 MW) and Kelmė II (87 MW) wind farms will produce together an impressive 580 GWh of clean energy each year! These achievements would not have been possible without the support and commitment of our partners. Our construction collaborators, Merko statyba, NOBE, DS-1 have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life, while GE, Vestas, and Nordex Group have provided wind turbines to power the future. On the financial front, we are grateful for the backing of OP Financial Group, SEB, and Nordic Investment Bank, whose trust in Enefit Green's growth story has been unwavering. Finally, the municipalities of Šilalė II and Kelmė have stood by us every step of the way, ensuring these projects contribute meaningfully to the local community. Together, we’re powering a greener future! #enefitgreen #greenenergy #sustainability #cooperation

A goodwill #cooperation agreement was signed between the City of Pärnu, Enefit Green, and Sunly, which will help #contribute to the local community's well-being once the #Põlendmaa wind park is up and running. The agreement confirms that the #parties will work closely #together on building the Põlendmaa wind farm, #focusing on #improving local life and that possible obstacles will be resolved in a positive manner. Innar Kaasik, Member of the Management Board and Head of Production at Enefit Green: "We strongly believe that local communities should benefit from development projects carried out in their area. Through cooperation with local governments, we aim to develop the Põlendmaa wind park area in line with community needs. Whether it's improving road surfaces on public roads or providing direct-line, network-free electricity consumption for the establishment of industrial parks six kilometers away.” Enefit Green and Sunly have been developing the Põlendmaa wind park since 2020 in close dialogue with the local community. In April 2023, the City of Pärnu and the Municipality of Tori approved the first stage of the wind energy special planning. The second stage is currently underway, focusing on creating a detailed solution for the wind farm, including determining the number, height, and location of the turbines. This detailed plan will be presented at a public exhibition and discussion in the fall, where everyone will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning process.   #enefitgreen #windenergy #community #sustainability

⚡️Important milestone achieved: Sopi-Tootsi wind park supplies first electricity to the grid! ⚡️ We are excited to share that the Sopi-Tootsi wind park has reached a significant milestone with the first three turbines now producing green electricity. To date, 28 of the park's 38 turbines have been installed, and production is gradually ramping up. The installation of the remaining turbines is progressing smoothly and according to plan. Janek Lillemägi, our Head of Wind Energy Construction, emphasized the importance of timely production: “Thanks to excellent cooperation with all parties involved, we've achieved our first production milestone just four months after beginning turbine installation.” Simultaneously, progress continues our solar park site. "The construction of the panel support frames is in the final stages, and about 112,000 panels are being installed. We aim to start electricity production in the solar park in the fall, with full completion expected by the end of next year," stated Rainer Tammus, Head of Renewable Energy Project Development and Implementation. Safety First! This week, in #cooperation with the Estonian Wind Power Association, the Päästeamet | Estonian Rescue Board, and other partners, we #organized a #emergency #training at our #Paldiski wind park. While wind turbine incidents are rare, #preparation and #cooperation are essential. Our exercise #focused on rescuers entering the turbine, #ascending to the nacelle, and #evacuating an immobilized #technician from a height of 85 meters. Units from Keila and Paldiski, along with rope rescue specialists, participated. In 2022, we #trained at the Aseriaru wind park. This year we were in Paldiski. Next, we’ll head to the #largest wind park in the Baltics, Sopi-Tootsi in North Pärnumaa. Close #collaboration with rescue services, ambulance, and police #ensures we’re ready where there are more wind turbines, but people's #safety remains the top #priority. #enefitgreen #windpower #wmergencypreparedness #safetyfirst

We had the pleasure of #welcoming Res Global Investment representatives to our #headquarters in Tallinn. Enefit Green and RES Global Investment have #joined forces to #drive the green energy transition in #Poland through the joint #development of 360MW of wind projects over the upcoming years. Enefit Green is the #largest wind energy producer in the Baltics, with extensive experience in both #operating and #developing wind farms. Up until now, we have #focused on expanding our #solar energy portfolio in Poland. The #cooperation will provide us with an #opportunity to expand into the #wind sector. To celebrate the start of a partnership our CEO Aavo Kärmas handed over a gift to Res Global Investment. A reprint of the painting 'Heavenly Race' by the famous Estonian artist Navitrolla, symbolizing our race to get our joint wind farms up and running quickly. #enefitgreen #RESglobalInvestment #greenenergy #windenergy #poland
