SwissCham X Swiss School of Management in Alexandria! SwissCham is delighted to announce the successful completion of Day 2 of the “Finance for Non-Finance Managers” training sessions, held in Alexandria and attended by our valued member, SGS. Led by Dr .Ahmed Sobhi Hamidou, Dean of the Swiss School of Management Cairo, the program provided participants with crucial financial knowledge to support informed business decision-making. We are happy to extend these training opportunities beyond Cairo, ensuring that more of our members across Egypt can benefit from this enriching experience.

Strengthening Swiss-Egyptian Economic Relations. SwissCham is pleased to see Egypt the first trading partner with Switzerland in 2023. Switzerland and Egypt have fostered strong bilateral ties, with trade volumes reaching CHF 1.646 billion in 2023. From renewable energy to healthcare, Swiss investments in Egypt continue to thrive, thanks to a conducive business environment. Thrilled to have participated in the 4th Union for the Mediterranean Energy and Climate Business Forum during Cairo Sustainable Energy Week - CSEW. The Forum, organized in collaboration with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), focused on exploring innovative financing solutions and fostering regional collaboration to support sustainable energy transition and climate action across the Mediterranean. It was an honor to be part of the panel alongside Julie Chrysler from Yunus Environment Hub and Mohanad SalahEldin, Regional Director - German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, with the discussion expertly moderated by Dr. Houda BEN JANNET ALLAL, Director General of the OME Observatoire Méditerranéen de l'Energie. Since SwissCham Egypt’s rebranding in 2022 as the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, we have remained dedicated to promoting sustainability. Our participation in COP27 marked a major milestone, offering Swiss companies a platform to showcase their innovative environmental projects and reaffirming Switzerland’s commitment to sustainability. At SwissCham Egypt, we are committed to driving impactful change through a range of initiatives, including B2G and B2B meetings, roundtable discussions, events, and capacity-building programs. These activities are designed to transfer knowledge, create a bigger impact, and most importantly, link local companies with best practices and international counterparts to inspire sustainable innovations. A special thank you to our valued partners in ABB, Lafarge Egypt, and Geocycle Egypt جيوسايكل مصر, whose contributions to the chamber's activities have enriched my speech with real-life examples of on-the-ground achievements in Egypt.
