I’m sharing this with you because I don’t recall being this happy about training in a really long time. This level of happiness that you start to think if it really happened, and you start doubting about how it happened. You might think, why that much happiness about a simple lift? Out of the fact that you got stronger, what’s that crazy about it ? To answer this, we need to go back 4 years ago, when I was 15. I, for the first time ever, pulled 70kg off the ground and stuck it overhead. This rare moment only happened 4 times since. Yes, for the ones that know the sport of weightlifting, it’s quite uncommon for a young athlete to get stuck at a weight for this long. 70kg is a really good weight, but how did i get stuck at it for so long? Answer, injuries. Starting with the shoulder, finishing with the back. I haven’t had a moment of body peacefulness in almost 2 years now. Why saying this? Because today, I lifted a total of 24 reps from my 93% to my 100%, one after the other, with 0 pain hamdoulilah 🙏 I have been praying god to help my body heal and being able to move again. It is not 100% now but I haven’t felt as good in a really long time 🩵 As you may have realized, I am not as active as before on my socials. It has been hard for me talking about my injuries and keeping on showing that smile on the screen when most of my workouts were getting cut short because of them. But hey, here is a light 💡 at the end of the tunnel 🩵 This is a memory I want to keep in my book. Going back to it to remember how strong I can be ❤️ #godfaith
