Nur Casadevall is a director and photographer represented by CANADA with a keen eye for beauty and a passion for capturing movement. Based between Berlin and Barcelona, her work is characterised by a harmonious blend of architecture and music, often playing with symmetry and synchrony. In the last few years, she’s added AI tools to her palette, elevating her art direction and unique ability to capture feeling. A graduate of ESCAC Film School in Barcelona, Nur has built an impressive portfolio directing visual work for renowned clients such as PUMA Group, Nike, TOUS Jewelry, and Chloé. Her artistic vision has also been sought after by musicians like Maëlle and Blanche for their music videos. With wins and nominations at international events like London’s 1.4 Awards, Berlin Commercial, Canadian Fashion.Film Festival, and New York’s La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival. This was one of the loveliest projects of my career. Production was beautifully handled by Charlotte Woodhead, Magdalena Czmuda and the talented team at Canada (who made our money go so much further than we thought possible!). Barcelona-based directing duo Realité was so invested in the project.... and it gave me so much joy to hear Jason and Alba passionately talking through every single scene in animated Catalan. We got to spend a week in Poland, where we were pampered by the folks at Baltica Film. And, best of all - it was an all-female agency/client team on set... and I loved working alongside creatives Tavia Holmes and Rebecca Friedman, with our partners Sheila Azadan and Nikita Kapoor. ‘La Causa del Accidente que Provocó el Incendio’ directed by Lope Serrano and produced by CANADA for Audiovisual from Spain and ICEX lands on Instagram and canadacanada.com We are glad to share it with everyone and want to thank all involved in producing this meta short film presented at the San Sebastian Festival earlier this year. As director Lope Serrano puts it, “a character can emerge from any person, a story can emerge from any character, and a film could be made from any story, and this is an example of that, a somewhat neurotic, symphonic and pyromaniac one.”
