Today two Bluegame Hydrogen Support Vessels will be aside of American Magic and Orient Express teams at the start of the 37th America's Cup Louis Vuitton qualification Regatta. Within the framework of the Primary Project PP23 Gemelotec, Caponnetto Hueber SL is contributing to the development of advanced technologies for the digital twin of naval systems and ships with a wind-assisted propulsion performance prediction tool for ships (WASP4). This initiative is part of the Tractor Project INNCODIS, led by PYMAR and Navantia, S.A., S.M.E, which aims to develop an innovative industrial ecosystem for a competitive, diversified, and sustainable naval sector. Financed by the European Union and framed within Spanish Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, this project demonstrates Caponnetto Hueber's commitment to research, innovation, and technological advancement in the naval sector. 1st World Foiling Congress: a big thank you to the panelists and moderators for making some of the industry's most difficult topics engaging and relatable. I personally learned a lot and look forward to bringing the foiling organization up to the challenges we are facing. Some sparse thoughts: Sailing is going to be the new fast: with increasing limits on fuel consumption for motor boats, foiling can provide fast, stable, and comfortable vessels that attract a whole new demographic. This will require significant communications efforts. On the other hand, motor boats can also benefit from lower fuel consumption, increased range, and improved comfort. It should be a no-brainer. Commercial foiling applications, such as public foiling transportation, are a great way to introduce foiling to the masses, generating consumer interest and demand at the next boat show. As TFO, we are interested in developing our own certification to provide the industry with an insurable system as early as possible, while using the internal certification as a "discussion point" for the upcoming RCD. We need to develop shared quality acceptance criteria, especially for the foils, by bringing designers, builders, insurance companies, and users to the discussion table. Sustainability must be a core criterion, and we need to implement an industry-wide LCA tool and commit to standards that exceed those of the rest of the marine industry. The foiling industry is leading the technology development and we need to set a benchmark, also embracing sustainability at heart. IP protection is a key component of maintaining the industry value going forward: we are thinking of adding a mediation clause for any dispute between TFO members. Developing off-the-shelf products will greatly facilitate the marine industry's adoption of foiling, from propulsion to mechatronics and flight controls. Last but not least, let's not forget about the initiatives that we have already announced: An Open Source Academia Research on Collision Avoidance, one of the most strategic issues we need to resolve. The Genoa foiling public transport roadmap. Foiling transport will be the key topic of the next Congress. The launch of a Foiling Expo to go together with the next Congress, first in B2B mode for 2025, then B2C from 2026. Join the organization and let' s shape our future.
