Did you know that...? 👀🏗️ The Great Belt Bridge is one of HOCHTIEF's most iconic projects and a true engineering masterpiece. With a total span of 20 kilometers, this bridge is the heart of the crossing between the Danish islands of Funen and Zealand. With a maximum distance between piers of 1624 meters and a free span of 65 meters, it is one of the longest and most impressive suspension bridges in the world. To put it in perspective: its pylons, which extend 27 meters below and 254 meters above sea level, reach almost the height of the Eiffel Tower. Hochtief managed the project in the early 1990s and transformed mobility in Denmark. The ferry trip used to take drivers around two hours, while with the bridge the trip takes less than 15 minutes. ¿Sabías que…? 👀🏗️ El Puente del Este sobre el Gran Belt es uno de los proyectos más emblemáticos de HOCHTIEF y una auténtica obra maestra de la ingeniería. Con una envergadura total de 20 kilómetros, este puente es el corazón del cruce entre las islas danesas de Fiona y Selandia. Con una distancia máxima entre pilas de 1624 metros y una altura libre de 65 metros, es uno de los puentes colgantes más largos y también más impresionantes del mundo. Para ponerlo en perspectiva: sus pilones, que se extienden 27 metros por debajo y 254 metros por encima del nivel del mar, alcanzan casi la altura de la Torre Eiffel. Hochtief gestionó el proyecto a principios de los años 90 y transformó la movilidad en Dinamarca. El viaje en ferry solía llevar a los conductores alrededor de dos horas, mientras que con el puente el viaje no dura ni 15 minutos. Flatiron and Dragados North America Integration Successfully Complete   Integration creates the second largest civil engineering and construction company in North America, with growth potential in major marketplaces, and unparalleled civil infrastructure experience and geographical reach. On behalf of Flatiron and Dragados North America, Javier Sevilla, CEO of FlatironDragados, is pleased to announce the successful integration of the companies following the announcement of their combination in July 2024 by DRAGADOS and HOCHTIEF. The integrated company is owned 61.8% by DRAGADOS, S.A. and 38.2% by HOCHTIEF. The newly formed entity, named FlatironDragados, is led by Javier Sevilla as CEO and Peter Davoren as Chairman, in addition to his role as Chairman and CEO of Turner Construction Company. FlatironDragados starts 2025 with a backlog of USD $18.5 billion. Combined revenues for 2023 were USD 6.1 billion. The company has an established presence in 24 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces. That's why we think it's a good time to stop, even if it's just for a few minutes, and think about what we've accomplished together. 2024 has been an intense year. A year of many challenges, but also of great objectives and goals accomplished. The year of our first Capital Markets Day, of the merger between Flatiron Construction, Dragados USA, Inc. and Dragados Canada, Inc., of the expansion of Turner Construction Company in Europe, of the launch of ACS University... Concretamente, hoy se han puesto en servicio 31,2 km de las líneas de cercanías y TECSA ha hecho una gran labor en 23,6 km entre Silla y Alzira en la C2. We continue growing in advanced technology! 🚀 💻 CIMIC Group Limited company Leighton Asia has acquired Maverick United Consulting Engineers, an engineering consultancy specializing in digital infrastructure, advanced technology and high-rise buildings.   Headquartered in Malaysia, Maverick delivers projects for leading multinational clients in the advanced technology sector, including for data center clients, and in the built environment across Asia. Leighton Asia has a portfolio of data centers across Asia in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Macau, the Philippines, Singapore and India, delivering bespoke facilities for industry leaders. The combination of Leighton Asia and Maverick grows Leighton Asia’s services in this rapidly expanding market and provides potential for further high technology projects such as semiconductor and clean room production facilities. Our CEO, Juan Santamaria said: “Maverick has significant exposure to multinational technology clients, and leading engineering capabilities. The combination of Maverick and Leighton Asia will allow us to provide a wider range of services and solutions that our clients are looking for in Asia, at a time when the region is expected to be the fastest growing data center market.” Additionally, Thiess has successfully refinanced its existing senior debt facilities of $2.5 billion for a three-year term with expiry in January 2028, consisting of a revolving corporate facility and syndicated term loan. The transaction was well supported and over-subscribed, with the strong support of existing lenders as well as diversifying the global mining services provider’s banking relationships with multiple new partners.
