Last week, we had the privilege to attend the 10th HEMS Congress at Cinquale Airport in Massa Carrara, Italy. It was a great opportunity to connect with #HEMS operators, #doctors, and pilots from across the country. Our conversations focused on the potential of ERC's #eVTOL technology for medical transport in the Italian market, including essential considerations for the first potential routes. We were very pleased to see the strong interest in our flying demonstrators, as well as in our patient-focused approach and the advanced state of our technology, which resonated with many of the professionals we spoke to. We’re looking forward to further discussions on partnerships and next steps in Italy. The UK Satellite-Based Augmentation System trial is proving how accurate real-time navigation information can help pilots land more safely and efficiently. 📍✈️🛰️ Earlier this year, our test flight using Cranfield University's National Flying Laboratory Centre’s aircraft showcased a UK-based SBAS that delivers more precise, reliable navigation data - meaning improved safety and fewer missed landings. 🚁✨ SAMVA project successfully completed a series of EH216-S eVTOL flights at the first EGNOS-enhanced vertiport at Lleida-Alguaire Airport (LEDA)! This marks a major leap in integrating EGNOS satellite-based operations into urban air mobility, enhancing safety and efficiency in European airspace. 🔹 Supported by EGNOS, these flights demonstrated precise navigation, crucial for safe, pilotless eVTOL operations. 🔹 Santiago Soley, CEO of Pildo Labs, shared that "SAMVA is at the forefront of advancing eVTOL technology, ensuring safety and efficiency." 🔹 Jordi Candela, director of Aeroports de Catalunya, called this a pivotal milestone in advancing urban air mobility. We knew it could be done, but such level of excellence is only possible with engagement from many. Last couple of days got the honour to attend, for the 13th occasion, the FLAG working group on helicopters all-weather operations. Yes, I have said 13th! For the special occasion Alidaunia welcomed us at beautiful Puglia (Italy). Many thanks to Alidaunia crew for the wamest hosting, and in particular Roberto, Vincenzo and all Pucillo family, your vision and enthusiasm are guiding others.
