The Barcelona based #SpaceTech company Zero2Infinity AI [02∞.ai] has been struggling for years to get funding for a potentially #paradigm shifting technology: Launching satellites and small cargo from high altitude #balloons into space. Per Heliumballon in den Weltraum - ein nachhaltigerer und vor allem auch preiswerterer Weg, die Erde von oben zu sehen, als per Rakete. Die Idee stammt aus den 30er Jahren, aber der Spanier Jose Mariano Lopez-Urdiales von Zero2Infinity baute, testete und patentierte die passende Kapsel dafür mit Hilfe auch von deutschen Investorengeldern. Doch die Anschlussfinanzierung war schwierig. So schwierig, dass er sich auf die Hilfe fragwürdiger Berater einließ. Die gründeten eigene, konkurrierende Unternehmen.
