Daniel Fraile is Chief Policy Officer at Hydrogen Europe where he leads the policy and market intelligence work of the association. He has 18 years of experience on energy policy, renewables energy technologies and international cooperation. He is an engineer with a Masters in Telecommunications and a Masters in Renewable Energy. Today, he is leading the Hydrogen Europe policy work, directing a team of analysts and policy specialists. Previously, Daniel had been Director of Market Intelligence at WindEurope, where he worked for 7 years managing the market research and leading several policy topics such as system integration and hydrogen. Prior to CIP, she held senior positions, including SVP Hydrogen Business Development at Engie, and served as Project Director for both the 1.85 GW Engie HyNetherlands project and the 500 MW H2Maasvlakte project with Uniper. Afkenel also brings financial and commercial expertise from her roles at Shell and her leadership as Hydrogen Program Manager at Gasunie. Ana Quelhas is the Managing Director for Hydrogen at EDPR, leading the Group’s strategy on the renewable hydrogen business. Prior to that, Ana was the Head of Energy Planning at EDP, being responsible for supporting the Executive Board of Directors in the decision making processes, contributing with a long term perspective of the energy sector and an integrated vision of the company across businesses (renewables, conventional electricity generation, retail and distribution) and geographies (mainly Europe, US and Brazil). Before joining EDP, Ana worked in the Directorate-General for Research of the European Commission, in Brussels, supporting the development of the strategic research agenda in the field of energy. Prior to that, she was at the California Independent System Operator providing strategic energy consultancy to the wholesale power market and grid operator in the State of California. Ana holds a PhD with distinction in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. We are proud to announce Enagás Renovable as our Sustainability Partner for Connecting Green Hydrogen Europe 2025. Founded in 2019, Enagás Renovable has a portfolio of more than 20 projects in Spain in the field of renewable gases and decarbonisation, making it one of the largest European platforms for renewable gas projects, which are in line with the Hydrogen and Biogas Roadmaps for Spain. Enagás Renovable focuses its activity on: - Green hydrogen projects: different types of projects depending on their main end applications (industry, mobility and blending). - Biomethane projects: upgrading of existing biogas plants and development of integrated solutions. Under his management scope, he leads the development of renewable gas projects (green hydrogen & biomethane). Between 2017 and June 2022 he was Chief Transformation & Green Hydrogen Officer, creating Enagás Renovable, at the time 100% subsidiary of Enagás for the development of green hydrogen and biomethane projects, leading the first green H2 industrial-scale project in the Mediterranean that has received funds from the EU and soon in operation (Green Hysland Mallorca). Under his leadership, Axent was created, a neutral telecommunications operator, which markets dark and illuminated fiber capacity, and also Enagás Services Solutions, a 100% Enagás subsidiary, which offers specialized consulting, engineering and O&M services. He has held several positions at Enagás from 2001 to 2021: Project Engineer, Head of Operations at the Barcelona LNG Terminal, Director of the Cartagena LNG Terminal, Director of Business Development & M&A, Director of Transformation and member of the TAP Board (Trans Adriatic Pipeline). He is a member of several boards of directors and is Chairman of the Board of Axent. Antón Martínez is a Chemical Engineer from the University of Santiago de Compostela and has two Master's degrees: the Executive MBA from IESE and the Executive Education Program from the London Business School.
