We are excited to share that ASRO's Relativistic Electron and Proton Experiment (REPE) instrument is on-board the ground-breaking HENON mission! Developed in collaboration with the Turun yliopisto - University of Turku, REPE will play a vital role in enhancing space weather monitoring, as the HENON spacecraft travels to the unexplored Distant Retrograde Orbit (DRO) with a unique vantage point upstream of Earth, providing extended space weather warning times.
Today European Space Agency - ESA’s first standalone Deep Space CubeSat, #HENON, kicked off its final implementation phase! 🛰️ This #GSTP In Orbit Demonstration mission will give us forecasts of solar storms just hours instead of days in advance.
