ICEYE is excited to announce Dwell Precise, the industry’s highest fidelity 25 cm product. The increased resolution will allow ICEYE’s customers to identify objects and features on the Earth’s surface with far greater clarity than before, all while benefiting from the day/night all-weather imaging capabilities of #SAR. “Dwell Precise represents the culmination of the industry’s best imaging capabilities and adds significant depth to our line of Dwell products,” said John Cartwright, ICEYE’s SVP and Head of Data Product. Dwell Precise is based on the 1200 MHz radar bandwidth, the maximum that commercial satellites are allowed to use. Read more in our press release: https://hubs.li/Q02RD0RT0.

During the weekend, the ICEYE Solutions team is working around the clock to provide actionable insights on #HurricaneMilton to Florida's federal, state, and local governments, NGOs, and insurance companies. Yesterday, The Insurer TV released an exclusive interview with Andy Read, our VP of Government Solutions at ICEYE, discussing Milton losses in comparison to Helene. Today, we are working on the third data release of our observed flood extent and depth analysis, which will be available in a few hours. For more updates, follow our news feed at https://hubs.li/Q02T9P8c0 The before-after animation below illustrates the flood situation in Hillsborough County, FL, based on our R1 release.

Hurricane Milton made landfall as a powerful Category 3 storm near Siesta Key, Florida, on the evening of October 9th, 2024. It caused significant storm surges and widespread power outages across Florida's Gulf Coast, which suffered from Hurricane Helene's impacts over the last week. The ICEYE team delivered our first flood extent and depth analysis last night, identifying that building damage from flooding will likely be as significant as Helene where over 150,000 buildings were damaged in Florida. See flood impact in Cape Coral, a city in southwest Florida, after Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Reach out to our Solutions team for full analysis: https://hubs.li/Q02T3rLX0.

"ICEYE can bring Japan far into the future. Right now," Dylan Monaghan, Head of Missions, ICEYE Japan. Watch our latest video, where ICEYE's Dylan Monaghan and MAKOTO HIGASHI discuss why protecting your country and having a clear view of your surroundings is essential—and how ICEYE's satellite technology is designed to support this mission. With smaller and more versatile satellites, ICEYE can deploy multiple units to cover the vast expanse of Japan and its surrounding waters, providing the surveillance capabilities Japan needs. Learn more about how ICEYE can support Japan's national security efforts at the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition next week. Our team will be there October 16-19 at booth W1-016. We are looking forward to meeting you!

With Hurricane Milton intensifying in the wake of Hurricane Helene, it remains critical to get rapid access to observed flood impact data. Last week, Samaritan's Purse used more than a dozen helicopters to make over 60 flights across western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. By incorporating ICEYE’s flood data releases into their maps in their operations center, thanks to the #Esri Disaster Response Program (DRP), they could find the hardest-hit communities and send supplies there as quickly as possible. Pictured is their VP of Programs and Government Relations, Ken Isaacs, looking at ICEYE's flood data to help lead the early planning of the organization's disaster response.

At the beginning of October, the Otago region and Dunedin, the second-largest city in the South Island of New Zealand, recorded its wettest day in a century. Thanks to our data reselling partnership with Eagle Technology Group, in the event of a major cyclone or flood anywhere in New Zealand, ICEYE’s near real-time hazard analytics is available via the Esri #ArcGIS platform. As #HurricaneMilton intensified into Category 5 status, our team closely monitors its trajectory and impact. Based on our current observations, Milton maintains its intense strength and is expected to fluctuate before making landfall as a major Category 3 hurricane. The storm is growing in size, which increases the potential for severe wind and storm surge impacts, posing significant risks along Florida's west coast. We are committed to providing actionable, near real-time data to help communities and businesses prepare and respond effectively in the area.
