We’re excited to see our LEMUR satellites launch with Rocket Lab for longtime partner OroraTech's mission—a huge step forward in wildfire management!
We have a bit of a surprise! We are launching a constellation of eight satellites next week! OroraTech Constellation Phase 1 will be riding aboard Rocket Lab’s Electron rocket from their Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand. The satellites are currently there receiving final integration testing, for launch on Wednesday evening (Central European Time). This is a huge step forward for us at OroraTech and wildfire management. As the first operational constellation for wildfire detection and monitoring, Phase 1 will fill the critical Afternoon and Night Gap. This innovation will help firefighters and emergency managers around the world, providing data when fires break out most often and rage the hottest, but also when there is little other means to understand where fires are. As the world’s leading wildfire intelligence company, we are paving the way to achieve real-time data for every place on Earth, revolutionizing wildfire management in times where extreme fires are increasing worldwide. A huge thank you goes out to Spire and Rocket Lab for their tireless support and for their speed of implementation, as we continue to help our customers around the world. Another huge thank you to Exolaunch for their launch support during this mission. Make sure to check out details about the Rocket Lab launch at the link below. Mark your calendars for the live stream next Wednesday and join us on our way to space. Link to the stream to follow! https://lnkd.in/gYJV7Cy #Wildfire #WildfireTechnology #EarthObservation #space

I had an incredible experience last week representing Spire at the Sustainable Markets Initiative Terra Carta Roundtables & Exhibition, where business and government leaders from around the world came together to talk about the economic case for a sustainable future. One of the highlights for me was joining the Astra Carta plenary session with Aarti Holla-Maini, Tim Peake CMG, Paul Bate, and Rob Desborough. We had a great discussion about how space technology can drive both economic growth and scientific discovery, while keeping sustainability at the core. And to top it all off, the Summit had a special visit from His Majesty King Charles III, who launched the Sustainable Markets Initiative in 2020. I’m excited to continue to partner with SMI to drive towards a sustainable future. #SMITerraCarta #AstraCarta

With Spire Aviation's advanced aviation data analytics, we're tracking helicopter flight paths over Japan, highlighting the dynamics of aerial operations during significant wildfire events.
🚁 Tracking helicopter flight paths over Japan, highlighting the low-altitude aircraft actively engaged in firefighting operations during one of the country’s largest wildfires in recent years. Active helicopters captured in our analysis: ▪️ 7x AW139 – commonly used for aerial firefighting and emergency response. ▪️ 1x EC145 T3 – a versatile multi-role helicopter. ▪️ 1x Bell 412EPX – known for reliability in demanding conditions. ▪️ 1x Cessna 560 Citation Encore. This visualization provides an overview of how these helicopters navigated the operational airspace, including their flight paths and areas of activity.
