    Most organizations are struggling to use AI to do more than the basics. This is a huge, missed opportunity for L&D. Why? Because, according to recent research by consulting firm McKinsey, early gen AI adopters are better positioned to address their future talent and skill requirements. In other words: If you work in L&D, gen AI is a powerful tool for proving your impact…if you know how to use it. Here’s how they recommend L&D teams better align with business leaders to drive real results with AI: 1. Goals before roles: Don’t rush to build AI literacy across the board. Start with your organization’s strategic objectives and pinpoint the skills that will help achieve them. Prioritize skill-building based on business impact. 2. Empathy-driven transformation: Rapid change can feel overwhelming. L&D teams that lead with empathy and focus on human-centered learning will help employees embrace change and build a growth mindset. 3. Reimagine learning: Gen AI enables personalized, in-the-moment learning, embedded in daily workflows. This is where L&D can drive the most value—by ensuring learning is scalable, relevant, and directly tied to business priorities.     Who here has tried using AI to build course content? 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Were you impressed? Underwhelmed? Maybe a bit lost? Or just excited about the possibilities? If you're looking to get the most out of AI-generated courses, here are three golden rules for writing the perfect prompt: Keep It Personal with Company Culture 🎯 Don't settle for cookie-cutter content. Guide your AI to create courses that reflect your unique company culture. Include specific language preferences, tone of voice, or style in your prompt. Remember, AI can help you scale, but you bring the personality. ➡️ Prompt Example: “Use an informal, friendly tone, and address the learner as ‘you.’ Align with our company’s values of innovation and collaboration.” Keep Learners Engaged with Pedagogical Best Practices 📚 The right structure makes all the difference. Specify how long each course should be, how interactive the content is, and even which teaching styles resonate best with your audience. The more detailed, the better! ➡️ Prompt Example: “Design a course that includes bite-sized modules under 15 minutes, with quizzes after each section for active learning.” Stay Compliant—Always! ✅ AI can help you ensure every course is legally sound and up to date. Always include compliance considerations—whether it’s data privacy, safety standards, or industry-specific regulations. And don’t forget: with platforms like 360Learning, you can set these rules once and let AI handle the rest. ➡️ Prompt Example: “Include a privacy statement in each course section and ensure all content adheres to [specific compliance standard].” And if you’ll be doing this day in, day out, you’ll want a platform that was built with prompts in mind.
