🌍 Arkema achieves a major milestone in sustainability! We’re pleased to share that we reach a carbon footprint of 1.3 kg CO₂e/kg for the global production of our bio-based polyamide 11 chain, 80% lower than conventional fossil-based polyamides. This progress is thanks to ongoing improvements in energy efficiency and increased use of renewable electricity. In Villers-Saint-Paul and Verneuil-en-Halatte (France), our teams partnered with local communities to create bee-friendly gardens and install an insect hotel, all while sharing the wonders of biodiversity with local children. 🐝🌸 In Malaysia, our team took action by organizing a beach clean-up and spending a day at a turtle sanctuary to protect marine life, while in Brazil, employees and their families helped plant 600 seedlings as part of reforestation efforts at the Tietê Ecological Park. 🌱🐢 These initiatives show that protecting biodiversity is a global effort, driven by the passion and dedication of our teams in every corner of the world. Le sport, moteur d'unité et de dépassement ! 🙌 🎽 Cette année, 170 coureurs issus de 11 sites Arkema en France se sont rassemblés pour relever le défi du Run in Lyon, avec 3 courses au programme : 10 km, semi-marathon et marathon. Nous avons eu le plaisir de courir aux côtés de 5 jeunes de l'association Sport dans la Ville et d’environ 15 étudiants de nos écoles partenaires. Through the ZEBRA project, led by IRT Jules Verne, Arkema’s Elium® resin has played a pivotal role in achieving a fully closed-loop recycling system for wind turbine blades. 🚀 Elium® resin is unique in that it can be both processed like a thermoset and recycled like a thermoplastic, making it essential for the circular economy in the wind energy industry. The chemical compatibility between Elium® resin and Bostik adhesives is what makes this recyclability possible, ensuring the full recovery of materials.
