    #DiversityAndInclusion is NOT (only) for shiny workplaces in tall office buildings! 🏡 I’m (finally) coming home today after 1 month (!) on the road, delivering #DEI trainings across Belgium 🇧🇪 , France 🇫🇷 , Luxemburg 🇱🇺 and the UK 🇬🇧 for a a client in the manufacturing industry. 👉 Here are the key takeaways I wanted to share: ✅ DE&I belongs in warehouses and factories, in small towns and big cities, in large organizations and small businesses, it’s for ‘white collars’ AND ‘blue collars’ - DE&I is for everyone! 🏭 ✅In-person #workshops, talks, and #trainings are ESSENTIAL to move the needle. And yes, that requires more time, more money, more engagement! ✅#BottomUp takes a whole new meaning when you’re implementing DE&I in the manufacturing field: floor workers will challenge everything you thought you knew, as well as #bestpractices you thought might apply. Be prepared to gather #feedback, do #consultations, switch #perspectives, show #humility#trialanderror and #patience are key! 💡 ✅DE&I means something different from site to site, and from the office to the factory floor. - Keep it #local, keep it #intersectional, keep it #bottomup. There is no one-size-fits-all in DE&I! ⚠ Proud to be delivering this project in #partnership with the one-and-only Mixity-Mixity International.     📢 #Mansplaining - Bonjour! ⚠️ Petit coup de gueule du jeudi matin. 😡 Cette semaine marquait un temps fort de la lutte contre l'#inégalitésalariale entre les hommes et les #femmes en France. Tous les ans, Les Glorieuses publie son étude pour déterminer la date à laquelle les femmes en France commencent à travailler 'gratuitement' en raison d'un écart de salaire de 15% avec les hommes. En 2023 c'était le #6novembre11h25 🤦🏻♀️ Mais le journaliste et économiste Dominique SEUX, lui a mené une autre enquête. Une enquête, il l'avoue, 'sans aucune rigueur scientifique' pour nous expliquer que cette étude nous induit en erreur et qu'en fait l'inégalité salariale en France n'est pas si grave (4% à poste et employeur égal). Après tout, si les 10 personnes autour de lui à qui il a posé la question trouvent que cette statistique induit en erreur, c'est que vraiment cette étude publiée tous les ans sur la base de données collectées par l'INSEE et l'UE, c'est du grand n'importe quoi... 🤷🏻♀️ ⚠️ Bref, un #mansplaining en bonne et due forme de bon matin sur France Inter. So here's what I have to say: ✅ Le #6novembre11h25 a ses limites: ce calcul ne concerne que les femmes blanches, cisgenres, hétéros, valides... les données statistiques ne reflètent pas les écarts de salaires entre femmes selon leur couleur de peau, leur origine, le #handicap ou encore leur appartenance à la communauté #LGBTQ+ ... ✅Nier la pertinence de mettre en avant l'écart brut entre les rémunérations des hommes et des femmes, tous postes et métiers confondus, et seulement tenir pour pertinent l'écart à poste égal (4%) c'est nier que les femmes n'ont pas les mêmes opportunité d'avancement, nier le travail domestique non rémunéré des femmes, nier la dévalorisation des métiers dits 'féminins', et nier que tout cela affecte disproportionnellement les femmes racisées, LGBTQ+ ou en situation de handicap... ✅C'est aussi nier les travaux de Claudia Goldin, Prix #Nobel d'économie 2023 qui démontrent que même si les femmes et les hommes étaient réparti.e.s équitablement dans tous les secteurs d'activité (des femmes CEO, des hommes infirmiers...), l'écart ne serait réduit que d'1/3!! ✅ Ici on parle des femmes salariées... les femmes entrepreneures font face à encore plus d'adversité (cf chiffres sur l'entrepreneuriat). 💸 Et enfin, je suis prête à parier (l'argent que je n'ai pas) que dans le fabuleux monde des pros de la #Diversité et #Inclusion, les hommes (cis, blancs), notamment consultants indépendants sont bien mieux rémunérés que les femmes et personnes minorisées! Laure gives us an overview of the findings of this unique comparative study of #DEI management in 🇺🇸 and in 🇫🇷.
