    Aria’s financing solution is more than factoring. It’s embedded invoice financing, and there are 3 main differences. 1/ A superior user experience Our solution is fully integrated into B2B software. It provides a seamless experience without the need to switch between platforms or engage with multiple third parties, which is often the case with traditional factoring. It's faster and more convenient. 2/ Financing small invoices for small companies We are able to finance small invoices because, by being fully embedded into software, we optimize both our acquisition and operational costs. As a result, we don’t rely on high volumes to be profitable. Traditional factoring typically doesn’t cater to these businesses, as the low volume and amounts are not profitable for them. 3/ A greater control and flexibility With embedded solutions, businesses can choose which invoices to finance on a case-by-case basis. It gives them better control over cash flow management compared to the bulk financing required in factoring. Additionally, our automated and integrated process allows us to offer more competitive pricing for SMEs and better transparency. Unlike traditional neo-lenders, who tend to attract high-risk clients rejected by banks, embedded lending avoids adverse selection and offers a solution for all businesses.     Aria is often mistaken for B2B BNPL, but it's not quite the same. Let me explain. BNPL stands for Buy Now, Pay Later. Aria is more like Sell Now, Get Paid Now (should we invent SNGPN? 😄). The main point to understand the difference lies in who needs the service (B2B or B2C, buyer or seller) and how we position ourselves relative to them. In B2C, there are no payment terms. A buyer typically pays immediately, which suits the seller perfectly. In this case, the need is on the buyer's side, as they want to delay their payment. That's where BNPL comes into play. In B2B, however, payment terms are the norm. This is the key difference from B2C. The need isn't on the buyer's side because they will naturally Buy Now and Pay Later, but rather on the seller's side. The seller doesn't want to sell now and get paid later. They want to sell now and get paid now. That's what we do at Aria—we can call it factoring or invoice financing. We add the notion of “embedded” as our solution seamlessly integrates into buyers and sellers softwares. This eliminates the need for separate workflows, streamlining the process and making it more convenient and fast. We don't help buyers extend their payment terms; we help sellers reduce theirs.

    We onboarded 12 new clients in September at Aria, and it reminded me of how critical a well-structured onboarding process is. Let me tell you the story! In January, we faced a challenge. Our onboarding process—while functional—wasn’t fit for the scale we were aiming for. Clients moved from Sales to the Account Manager sometimes too quickly, and crucial information could slip through the cracks. We work in a complex field, with a lot of information to consider and implement— the billing model, technical integration, API calls, follow-up and refund policies, and much more. Everything is custom made. Missing just one piece of information can lead to misunderstandings and delays. So, 6 months ago, we took a step back and asked ourselves, how can we structure this better? Because it wasn’t just an operational problem; it was a barrier to scaling. That’s why we decided to set up a new role internally: the Implementation Manager. Laura, who was already part of the team, took on the role with a fresh mandate to streamline and oversee the onboarding process from start to finish. This wasn’t just a new title—it was a reset. We built an implementation phase that realigned expectations, centralized communication, and ensured that nothing would fall through the cracks. To dig a little deeper, I believe there are two key elements to a successful onboarding (at least in an industry like ours). The first element is overall consistency. It’s about making sure that everything remains coherent for our clients throughout the onboarding process, even if the points of contact change. The second element involves structuring the process to ensure that everything is crystal clear for customers and that information is controlled and accessible to everyone, at any time. It’s tempting to rush through processes when you’re focused on growth. But sometimes, the key to moving faster is actually slowing down, rethinking, and building a stronger foundation.
