We recently collaborated with the enhance.pet team from the Medical University of Vienna Medizinische Universität Wien ⚕ to enhance their CT whole-body segmentation 🩻. This was in two phases: - Evaluate the performance bottlenecks in the segmentation pipeline. - Integrate the MONAI workflow with nnUNet. Not only it is faster, allows for gpu integration, but it also helps on code clarity and maintainability. In parallel, we also improved their registration with ITK. Make sure to check their open-source 🔧 tools at https://enhance.pet/: MOOSE for CT/PET segmentation and FALCON for registration. See below an example of their tools in action !
