At our 2nd meeting on Leadbay with Milan, we agreed: “If we succeed, we’ll buy out Salesforce. If we lose, Salesforce will buy us out” So when Andreessen Horowitz titled “Death of a Salesforce”. I booked a flight to San Francisco and New York to try to understand what was happening at Salesforce Tower. After meeting key leaders, customers, innovators in the US, I can now title back to a16z “Death of Salesforce, birth of Leadbay”. Summer updates from our CEO below 🤘🏼 Have a great summer and enjoy the Olympics! The Leadbay Team
Summer & the Olympics are the perfect occasion for me to step back at this mid-2024 point, share some updates, and tease what's coming next: In the past 4 weeks: ▶︎ BUSINESS - Still in pre-launch, but we’ve doubled our revenue and user base by focusing on a highly specific B2B vertical (a major niche I’ll disclose after the summer); ▶︎ PRODUCT - We’ve introduced 3 new features to tackle our product's addictiveness challenges, and it works. We’ve just reached 10 consecutive weeks with more than 80% weekly returning users; ▶︎ TALENTS - We’ll be a team of 8 in September, with 3 new hires (a product designer, our 2nd back-end engineer, and 1 surprise talent I’ll reveal later in the year). We’re still looking to fill 1 junior growth position and 1 sales partnership role by the end of 2024; ▶︎ STATION F - We’ve been recognized from the STATION F Investment Committee as one of the best startups in the founders program, receiving €50k from Station F/Xavier Niel. What’s coming next: ▶︎ NEW MODEL - Milan is working on our 2nd model, which will provide predictions for information-poor leads (such as companies like farms, construction firms, and other notable companies lacking a website, LinkedIn presence, or recognition from Apollo and other data providers, but who could be strong buyers for our clients); ▶︎ NEW MARKET - We will be adding 1 new (BIG) country to the model. I’ll reveal this by the end of 2024; ▶︎ EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION - Finally, we’ll be expanding our partners program to broaden our distribution channels in our new big niche market. Leadbay will remain exclusive and accessible only through our partners (indirectly) and upon access request acceptance (via website inbound). I can’t be more grateful to all the new stakeholders involved with Leadbay this past quarter, including Roxanne, Loup, Eliott, Joris, Armand, Philippe, Gabrielle & Camille - on the investment side ; Stéphane, Thomas, Pauline, Ryan, Vincent (Snowflake ❄️) - on the partners side; and our pre-launch program customers I can't mention here.
