📑In this new Read & Share case submitted by Johannes Rigger, a 58-year-old male with a history of type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and smoking presented with shortness of breath (NYHA Class II) and reduced LV function in an outpatient setting in the echo (LV-function 38 %). 🔎 A cardiac MRI revealed a viable myocardium with significant ischemia in the inferior wall of the heart and the patient reported typical angina. Coronary angiogram revealed a chronic total occlusion (CTO) of the right coronary artery (RCA).
