They enable TotalEnergies’ teams to analyze the impact of our solutions on crops and animals. Among these sites, we pilot agrivoltaic systems equipped with #solar panels placed above the crops, to bring the right amount of light to the plants and create the ideal microclimate for their healthy growth.   The results of these studies will enable us to improve the design of our projects under development and optimize their positive contribution at farm and regional level. 🌬️ There are winds of change in Germany... We have just signed an agreement to acquire a 50% stake in two #offshorewind projects in the North Sea! This new partnership with RWE, a key player in #renewables and our partner in OranjeWind project in the Netherlands, contributes to our development in the German #electricity market ⚡, the largest in Europe. Preliminary studies on the marine environment, subsoil, as well as wind and oceanographic conditions have already been conducted by the Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency). 🌞 Howdy, y’all! Have you heard about today's #renewableenergy news in the Sun Belt? We have commenced operations at our two large solar farms in southeast #Texas! 🇺🇸 With a total of over 2.2 million ground-mounted photovoltaic panels, Danish Fields and Cottonwood also feature battery storage systems supplied by Saft, our battery subsidiary. Both projects are part of a portfolio of renewable assets totaling 4 gigawatts in operation or under construction in Texas. Most of the solar capacity of both sites has been contracted through long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreements. The other part will support the decarbonization of #TotalEnergies’ industrial plants such as Port Arthur and La Porte in Texas, and Carville in Louisiana. TotalEnergies and its partners, Equinor and Shell, announce the completion of the CO2 receiving and storage facilities of the Northern Lights JV in Norway.    These facilities include a terminal to receive CO2 cargos 🛳️, a 100 km subsea pipeline for transporting CO2 to an offshore storage site, and subsea injection facilities for safe and permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 meters below the seabed 🌊.   Northern Lights is now ready to receive and store CO2 from European industries, with the first injection expected in 2025. As the world’s first commercial CO2 transportation and storage project, it offers a vital solution for reducing industrial emissions ⚡. The first phase of the project has a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per year, fully booked by customers in Norway and Continental Europe.
