On the road again, this time to capture the reality and diversity of our supply chains in #Madagascar. From east to west, we discover what it means to grow #vanilla, pink peppercorn, #cloves, cloves essential oil, #cocoa, or #cinnamon. Following their work in Uganda and Tanzania, the Agence Odds has joined us, equipped with their cameras and real expertise, to capture the essence of Malagasy value chains. For 2 weeks, we followed the Touton Madagascar team to showcase what it means to manage those beautiful but often risky and complex conditions - but never boring (see by yourself 🚗 !) - to bring those unique ingredients from their tropical settings, all the way to processors and consumers. Only by diving deep into the field, we meet the true people behind local trade. Thanks 🙏 to all our partners and teams for making it possible: E. Following a thorough community needs assessment with Nhyira VSLA group, it became evident that there was a pressing demand for accessible corn milling and pepper grinding services. Community members face the inconvenience of traveling approximately 8 kilometers to access these essential services. Recognizing this gap, the support to establish a local corn milling and pepper grinding business aims to alleviate these challenges. This newly implemented services will provide community members with affordable and convenient access to corn milling and pepper grinding, reducing their travel burden and fostering local entrepreneurship.
