We recently spoke with Captain Tanguy Adriaenssen, a Belgian explorer Captain with decades of experience navigating remote waters across the Pacific, Indian Ocean and Australasia, as well as other far-flung corners of the globe. 🌊🌏 Starting his yachting career in 1997 and advancing through the ranks, Tanguy has commanded explorer superyachts on extended journeys to some of the world’s most isolated regions. 🧊🐋 During our conversation, Captain Tanguy shared practical advice for Captains and crew venturing off the beaten path and offered insights into some of his favourite destinations. 🪸🐠🌞 Beyond the sea, Tanguy’s adventurous spirit continues on land. He loves to explore the world on his motorcycle, often riding with his partner, and is an aviation enthusiast who enjoys skydiving and other high-adrenaline activities. 🪂✈️🏍️

As the Mediterranean yachting season wraps up, it’s time to shine a light on one of the most vital roles onboard – the yacht Chef. Far from an ordinary position, a yacht chef wears many hats, catering not only to taste but also to specific dietary needs, from vegan and gluten-free to managing various allergies. This wasn’t always the case as the role of the yacht Chef has evolved significantly over the centuries. Ever wondered what 16th-century sailors dined on? Spoiler: it was a far cry from today’s gourmet offerings. In her article for ONBOARD Magazine - 100% superyachts, Chloe Collet of YPI CREW takes us on a journey through the evolution of seafaring cuisine: https://lnkd.in/dvAGKGgD And don’t forget to thank your chef next time for sparing you the hardtack!

Have you had a chance to see the new uniforms on board superyacht Come Together? 🌟 It's refreshing to see a step away from the traditional yacht uniforms we’re used to seeing, and this a trend that’s been slowly gaining momentum recently. Crew uniforms play an important role in the overall branding of a yacht, helping to tell a story and contribute to the guest experience. Whether it’s a sleek, modern look or a timeless, classic style, uniforms are an integral part of the yacht’s identity and the atmosphere it creates for guests. We’re curious—do you prefer the traditional uniforms or are you in favour of more modern designs for yacht crew? Photos by Superyacht Come Together @yachtcometogether

Yesterday the YPI CREW team ran and walked at #Odyssea in Cannes against breast cancer. With 5300 people coming together for the same cause and 50,000 euros raised, the event was a huge success and attracted even more participation than the year before. A great chance to bring people together and spread awareness 💞🎗️ Please find more information here if you would like to donate or attend the next year edition https://lnkd.in/eRz9dCya #ensembleencoreplusfort #strongertogether #odyssea2024 Odysséa Organisation
