L'accès à l'électricité est une priorité essentielle pour le développement de l'Afrique, mais il ne doit pas être perçu comme une fin en soi. Ce sont les usages productifs de cette énergie – dans des secteurs clés tels que l'industrie, l'agriculture, la santé, l'éducation et le commerce – qui permettront une véritable transformation économique et sociale du continent. Il est encourageant de constater que la The World Bank, African Development Bank Group et d’autres comme The Rockefeller Foundation placer cette approche au cœur de leurs priorités en Afrique, alignant ainsi les efforts sur les besoins réels de transformation économique et social.

Échanger les minerais contre les infrastructures c'est bien mais ne pas pris en compte le Géologue congolais grâce à qui ces minérais sont identifiés, extraits et acheminés à l'usine de traitement c'est un péché contre la géologie et le peuple congolais. Avec l'avènement de l'Ordre National des Géologues de la RDC, le Gouvernement congolais a l'obligation s'associer le Géologue congolais à toute chose qui concerne les minerais congolais car il constitue un élément incontournable dans le développement économique de la RDC à travers les ressources Géologiques et les minerais stratégiques. Un élément très important serait de mener un plaidoyer afin d'améliorer les conditions de travail du Géologue congolais dont les droits sont bafoués du jour au lendemain en commençant par le SMIG congolais, comment ça se fait que dans une société minière X un chauffeur touche plus qu'un Géologue ? C'est sur base de quelle soubassement juridique ?

The Department of Finance announced the Canada Growth Fund’s sixth investment, a combined $2-billion investment with Calgary-based Strathcona Resources – Canada’s fifth-largest oil producer. The investment is to build carbon capture and sequestration infrastructure on Strathcona’s three steam-assisted, gravity drainage oilsands facilities (photo at right shows one facility) in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Upon completion, the partnership will capture and permanently store up to two million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. Supported by an initial $500-million investment from the Canada Growth Fund – with an option to increase this to $1 billion – Strathcona will begin its final detailed engineering work for the first carbon capture and sequester project, with a final investment decision expected in 2025. Finance Canada said the partnership was made possible by and will benefit from the federal government’s carbon capture, utilization, and storage investment tax credit.
