We are thrilled and honored to welcome Dr. Jen Welter, the legendary NFL coach, two-time Gold medalist, and champion of diversity and inclusion, as a Founding Member of Marble Collective. Dr. Welter made history as the 1st woman to coach in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals and broke barriers as the first female to play running back in a men's professional football league with the Texas Revolution. Her pioneering journey continued as she coached the Australian Women's National Football Team and authored "Play Big: Lessons in Living Limitless from the First Woman to Coach in the NFL." She recently graced the cover of Know Magazine presented by JPMorgan Chase & Co. The "100 Women to KNOW In America Award," celebrates influential, accomplished, and honorable women across our society. The selection process is rigorous and selective, considering factors like professional achievements, leadership qualities, and community impact. Nominees undergo interviews that gauge their passion, resilience, and commitment to excellence. “I never ever imagined that I could coach football, because there was no one who looked like me. Football was the first place in the world where somebody told me that girls and boys did different things. I distinctly remember being told girls don't do that.” - Dr. Jen Welter Her messages on Authentic Leadership and Diversity as Strength have resonated at prestigious venues such as the the United State of Women (USOW), Central Mass Conference for Women, and MGM Grand. Her engaging presentations, filled with humor and firsthand insights, leave a lasting impact on audiences worldwide. Dr. Welter founded "A Day in the Life" to empower and equalize women in professional football. Held annually in Las Vegas alongside the Super Bowl, this event, by women for women, harnesses their energy and enthusiasm for football. It offers a unique opportunity to step onto the field and immerse themselves in the game. With women making up 47% of the National Football League (NFL) fan base, this platform has evolved into a movement celebrating their dedication and passion for sports. Dr. Jen Welter leads Grrrridiron Girls flag football camps, showcasing her commitment to inspiring young women. She has partnered with Toya to create the Minecraft series "Coach Jen," further engaging girls in sports through innovative digital experiences. Her collaboration with adidas amplifies her mission to build confidence and leadership skills in girls through sports. Born to a Libyan royal father and a Minnesota mother and growing up between multicultural households in Egypt and the American Midwest, with an adolescence split between the US and Europe, Alia's unique upbringing as a “third culture kid” sparked her passion for cultural diplomacy. Her journey from the pyramids of Cairo to the prestigious halls of Brown University and The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) shaped her into a cultural bridge-builder. Alia's academic prowess is highlighted by her impressive educational background, culminating in a PhD from SOAS University of London, where she explored the intersections of politics, culture, and patronage in contemporary art. A true luminary in the art world, beginning with transformative projects like the Siwa Project in Egypt, Alia has since served in key roles, including as Art Basel's UK and MENA Representative and Senior Advisor to the وزارة الثقافة Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia, utilizing art as a powerful tool for social change and international dialogue. “I’m not an avid art collector in the way that others might be described as avid collectors, but things that are meaningful to me are things that I want to live with. Maryann Mannen will become the first female CEO at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, where she’s served as EVP and CFO since 2021, when she became the firm’s first female CFO. Based on data from 674 Fortune 500 and S&P 500 companies, last year 8.4% percent of CEO roles were filled by CFOs; in 2013, that figure was 5.8%, according to the firm’s most recent volatility report. Fortune recently reported that women CEOs were now running more than 10% of the Fortune 500. “I am honored by the trust placed in me to lead this great company,” Mannen said in a statement.
