The ACI EUROPE Communications Forum is meeting for the 24th time in Athens, Greece, graciously hosted by Athens International Airport. ✈🇬🇷 🗓️What is on the agenda this time? The presentations are focusing on communicating aviation benefits to unlock growth, including: ✈️ The Aviation Benefits Beyond Borders report as a strategic communications tool, from Felix Eggert, Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) ✈️ Updates on plans to expand Spanish airports from Gemma Hernández Zamora & Isabel García Gómez, Aena ✈️ Challenging the Dublin Airport passenger cap to unlock benefits for Ireland from Kevin Cullinane, Dublin Airport ✈️ Investing in future growth for Malta with terminal expansion project, from Michela Catania, Malta International Airport plc Attendees have also enjoyed a joint presentation and workshop on crisis communications and reputation management from the Purposeful Relations Team of Stuart Bruce and Tim Bailey MCIPR MPRCA. How can AI be employed to our competitive advantage? The Forum’s communications professionals explored potential scenarios they may encounter in their work, and discovering how and what AI tools can optimise their own communications. 🤖📊 Friday’s session on sustainability communications and how airports can balance transparency, trust and compliance covers regulatory and policy updates from ACI EUROPE’s own Agata Łyżnik, Athens International Airport’s Route 2025 project from George Misailidis and how SOF Connect are leading the SAF conversation in Bulgaria from Milena Mihaylova of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport. Nigar Şeyda Yılmaz wrapped up the Forum with insights from iGA Istanbul Airport’s sustainability journey. 2.4 Airline Marketing Workshop #athensairport ✈️ This year’s Airline Marketing Workshop wrapped up successfully, bringing together over 250 airline representatives and industry professionals! With the theme "Thesis – Antithesis – Synthesis", we explored how different perspectives lead to innovative solutions and a new balance in the ever-evolving world of aviation and tourism. With a rich agenda, covering topics such as: 🔹 The dynamics of the airline market & future challenges 🔹 The new traveler profile & the evolution of passenger experience 🔹 The future of airline partnerships and growth 🔹 The importance of architecture in airport design and its connection to the travel experience 🔹 Sustainability & green initiatives in aviation – how the industry is adapting to environmental challenges, we enjoyed inspiring talks and creative presentations throughout the event. 🔝 Special Moment – The captivating speech by Pierluigi Collina, reminding us that preparation and composure lead to fair and impactful decisions! ⚖️ 🏆 Airline Awards – The Airline Marketing Workshop wouldn’t be complete without recognizing the airlines that stood out for their exceptional performance in 2024.
