✨ Throwback to our annual Mattel APAC Play it Forward Week where we celebrated the power of play and giving back. Across the region, our teams joined forces together to engage with nonprofit partners and generate positive impact to local communities! From preparing food boxes for people in need in Hong Kong, helping a local organization serving children with disabilities in Vietnam, and hosting an UNO tournament in ANZ - our offices found fun and impactful ways to engage locally. Meanwhile, our manufacturing plants hosted events for local children including Special Olympics and school visits in Indonesia, educational tour on solid waste treatment in China, equipment and toy donations in Thailand, and fun competitions in Malaysia. The Mattel APAC Play it Forward week is not just about volunteering, but about seeing the smiles of the kids and beneficiaries and the impact we can make in the community. This week, Mattel HK employees had a fun and meaningful "Heart to Paw Connection" session with the HK Guide Dog Association (HKGDA). This wellness initiative was organized for our colleagues to experience animal-assisted therapy. In the enlightening 90-minute session, HKGDA representatives shared how animal-assisted therapy can aid various individuals, including children, the elderly, and those unwell. 👨🍳 Mattel HK Volunteers Cook Up Love with Food Angel. 🍲 As part of the global Play it Forward week, Mattel HK colleagues volunteered their time and energy to join the food rescue and assistance program at the Food Angel Community Centre in Sham Shui Po. It was amazing to see how they transform surplus food into delicious and healthy meals for the underprivileged. The team put on their aprons and gloves and helped with the food sorting, preparation and packing. We all worked alongside the Food Angel staff and learned how to make nutritious and tasty meals from the edible surplus food. Embracing love and giving back with purpose. It was a valuable and fulfilling experience for the Mattel colleagues and they also came to realize how the program brought not only food, but also love and dignity to the people in need. 🙌 Celebrating Play It Forward Week 🧒, our annual event where we dedicate our time and resources to volunteer for various causes around the world. In Asia Pacific, our Mattel China Play Lab partnered with All Star, a local organization that provides care and education for autistic children, to create a memorable day of fun and learning. Together with our volunteers from the HK and Shenzhen offices, China Play Lab kickstarted the day with a visit to an exhibition that showcased the drawings from the autistic children at All Star. The group then visited the Mattel Playground office, where they prepared a variety of games and toys for the children to play with which included Mattel classics like Barbie and Hot Wheels as well as some team games with our colleagues. The day was full of laughter, inspiration, and friendship, as we saw the power of play in action. We're honored to collaborate with like-minded organizations to bring play to more children and will continue to uphold this philosophy to create a better and joyful world for all. 🏃♀️ Barbie fans in Taiwan had a blast celebrating her 65th anniversary with the return of Barbie Run after 8 years. 🏃♂️   For 65 years, Barbie has used her global platform to empower girls to dream big, explore their limitless potential, and direct their own narrative to shape their future. At the Barbie Run held in Taipei and Kaohsiung this June, thousands of fans dressed up in their Barbiecore outfits and ran with fun and confidence embodying the spirit to dream - and dream big.    But the fun didn't stop there! There's pink Barbie-themed marketplace with tasty treats and playful photo spots, while the post-run party brought fans together to celebrate their love for Barbie and her message of empowerment.   It was a fun event to remember, filled with sweats, play, and friendship.
