🔥 Congratulations to Cheung Ka-long and Siobhán Haughey on their impressive achievements at the 2024 Paris Olympics early this morning HK Time! 🔥   Cheung Ka-long, our Hong Kong athlete who won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, has made history once again by getting the city's second gold medal 🏅 in fencing. 🤺 This is a remarkable feat, as Hong Kong has now won two gold medals at the Paris Games after another fencer Vivian Kong Man-wai winning in the women's individual epee competition. 👏💪   Siobhán Haughey has also contributed to the Hong Kong's medal tally, winning a bronze medal in the women's 200m Freestyle event. 🏊♀️ This brings her total Olympic medal count to three, the most achieved among any other Hong Kong athletes so far. Bravo! 🤩✌ Siobhán will be competing in the women's 100m Freestyle events later today. Yesterday marks “Major Heat 大暑” according to the “24 Solar Terms” of the Chinese calendar.☀️ Under the influence of global warming, summers are getting hotter and we must change our way of living and working to combat climate change. 🔥 To raise our staff’s awareness on the topic of climate change, we asked our staff to make a pledge adopting low-carbon daily habit such as maintaining air-conditioning temperature between 24-26°C❄️, reducing meat in-take🥬 and avoiding single-use products🚫. They completed an online quiz on local and international climate change related facts and upon completion, they are treated with a cup of locally made gelato or plant-based sorbet in their own container.
