We are proud to share that Judy Ho, our Sustainability Manager at Swire Coca-Cola HK (SCCHK), participated as a panelist at ReThink 2024. This event provided an invaluable platform to discuss the critical role of eco-design in fostering sustainable production and consumption. During her session, Judy highlighted SCCHK's ongoing efforts to integrate eco-design principles into product development, specifically focusing on our bonaqua® Label-less 2.0 and bonaqua® Returnable Glass Bottle initiatives, which set new benchmarks for the industry.    The discussion covered the importance of eco-design in driving sustainability and strategies for enhancing circularity and achieving a local circular economy. Judy emphasised our commitment to not only meeting regulatory requirements but also leading the way in sustainable practices within the beverage industry.    In the event, bonaqua® once again proudly served as the official water sponsor. Two bonaqua® water refill stations were installed at the expo, inviting visitors to use our refill stations with their reusable bottles, reinforcing our #BringYourOwnBottle sustainable initiative.   As we move forward, we remain dedicated to incorporating these eco-design principles into our product design and promoting a circular economy across the city. As a leading bottling company in Hong Kong, we recognise how we produce and market our beverage brands impacts 7.5 million consumers. Accordingly, just as we seek to enable consumers to make better choices, we seek to make choices in our business that foster sustainable consumption patterns and accelerate trends towards healthier options.  Aligning closely with our manifesto “Our Choice, Our Future!” and United Nations’ SDG3 Good Health and Well-being and SDG12 Responsible Consumption and Production, as of 2023, we at Swire Coca-Cola HK (SCCHK) have achieved a significant milestone by reducing the average sugar content in our beverages by 21% compared to our 2018 baseline. We were also thrilled to introduce new products such as “OOHA" Lemon Honey and bonaqua® Lightly Sparkling Mineralised Water in both Lemon and Grapefruit flavours. With the growing popularity of low- and no-sugar beverages, these options now account for 59% of our total sales volume, giving people in Hong Kong more of the drinks they want in the manner they want them.
